LONDON, England -- Betfair faced a "bizarre situation" during one of its races that led to the cancelling of millions in bets, The Guardian reported.
During the Christmas Hurdle race on Wednesday a technical fault led to "a customer exceeding their exposure limit" to the tune of nearly £23m, the report said.
Some angry customers have threatened legal action over lost winnings in a forum discussion, The Guardian report said.
The horse who was the subject of the technical error was Voler La Vedette, the second-favourite to win, the report noted.
