By Dan Ippolito
Knowing that many of us are going to lose an hour of sleep due to daylight savings isn’t great, but at least we have a full day of sports on Sunday to get us through it. On top of XFL games over the weekend, conference tournaments in college basketball have begun, which means the madness is just a rock’s throw away. This week, we take a look at some viewing parties in Las Vegas for the mayhem. Also we have a couple of jackpots, a BitStarz
promotion, news from FanDuel
and a “ground-breaking” moment from Caesars Entertainment.
The jackpots will kick us off:5. Two massive IGT jackpots awarded in February

The online casino BitStarz has relaunched a popular weekly promotion. Slot Wars has more cash rewards and free spins than before, along with an expanded leaderboard to include payouts to more players.
The promotion originally gave out €1,000 and 250 free spins. Now, the €5,000 prize pool will be split between the top 40 players every week, with the top player scooping a cool €1,500. Also, 5,000 free spins will be split between the remaining 110 players.3. FanDuel Sportsbook to live stream NHL games
As part of a new agreement with IMG Arena, the FanDuel Sportsbook
is now offering live streaming of NHL games directly within the app.
The mobile sportsbook will feature two live streams each day throughout the regular season, viewable in U.S. states where legal sports betting is available to customers who have a funded sportsbook account or placed a wager on the event.
“As we continue to innovate and expand nationwide, the ability to further enhance the live game and live betting experience is increasingly important to our customers,” said Niall Connell, GM and SVP, FanDuel
Group. “Our goal is to become a one-stop-shop for all sports and betting content, and live streaming professional sports like hockey is one of the many ways we are reaching that goal.”2. Top 10 Las Vegas March Madness watch parties
Just under two weeks away from the play-in games of March Madness beginning on Tuesday, 17 March. Once 19 March hit, there will be nothing but constant chaos in college basketball. Below are just a couple examples of places to consider attending for March Madness this year in Las Vegas.
The 40,000-square-foot Belmont Ballroom at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
will transform into a wall-to-wall basketball mecca from 19 to 21 March. The ballroom will feature multiple stadium-style high-definition projection screens and 10 betting stations within an on-site dedicated sportsbook. Single day tickets for Thursday or Friday begin at $250 per person and include an open-bar pass. The same offering, without shots and Red Bull included, for Saturday and Sunday starting at $150 per person.
The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino
will have watch parties inside the International Theater and race and sports SuperBook, known as one of the biggest and best books in the world.
With 1,500 seats and satellite betting stations, the International Theater will open at 8 a.m. General seating is first come first served, reserved seating available for $30 a day, which includes one free beer. The SuperBook features 4,488 square-feet of HD screens for fans to watch the games.
