This is the new way to do it - send it out making it look as if it came from the person it was mailed to. :shake:

This trick has been used for quite a while now. I believe it is designed to slip through the corporate mail server spam filters.

Then someone either just learned it, or just got my email addy from somewhere - I've only ever been to that site once, about a year ago.

This is one of multiple messages I've received from River Gold Casino

http://www.hilsea.com/spam.txt

I buy a lot of dropped domains (at the moment I've got about 400), and my spam mail is massive (1,500- 2,000) and that's after I've blocked all mail from hotmail, msn, yahoo, meloo and a few others (this removes about 200 items). Because of this, I'm never sure if the mail is really spam or from a previous opt in list. It would be nice if it were possible to bounce mail back and actually get my address deleted automatically.

Thanks for the link, but it's a bit more complicated for me as I'm dealing in domains and have all sorts of forwarding. One day I'll sit down and write a proper filter.
