The problem with promotions of this sort is that affiliate programs, and sometimes senior affiliates forget that this affiliate industry is made up of tens of thousands of small affiliates.

This larger group of affiliates may struggle to get 1 or 2 players a month at some programs and hit zero at some programs or a reguar basis.

This does NOT make them less of an affiliate and in fact, I have a great respect for affiliates that fall into this categoiry and have the resolve to keep at it because they know the potential of the industry. They know deep inside that the next player they get could be a long term player that enjoys playing and will continue to do so for a long time.

I have many friends in this industry, both in the sectors that actually have a shot at the promotions that require 50 new players in a months time frame as well as those that would probably never get to that figure by the end of the year and I will work with and help those at both ends of the spectrum as much as I can. (This is what the GPWA is all about by the way)

It sometimes saddens me to see how some affiliate promotions are structured because the management just forgets how much work and effort are involved from the little guys as well.

I'd like to see more promotions that take some of these sentiments into account and structure the contests etc so that everyone has a shot.
