But I suppose they could be viewed as invasive by some folks if there are too many of them around unchecked.

Could be Michael. They may have identified an application or posts undesireable and modified all the links to it. That's all I can think of. Unless Vin was trying to sell me the tunnel sticker to the Cape.
I agree though. A chain letter of some sort could be annoying to some. I havn't seen anything harmful however so I'm not sure. May be something to watch and perhaps post if we see it.
