Warren Cloud-Oliver Curran untimely death
From Gambling911:
Quote:
One of the first online casino operators, Warren Cloud, died of an apparent heart attack while out on his boat near Ibiza, Spain late Saturday evening Gambling911.com can report exclusively. Cloud was believed to have only been in his thirties and leaves a wife and child behind.
The South African online gambling magnate was also known as "Oliver Curran" and quickly became the biggest and most successful of the Real Time Gaming casino operators.
His online casinos included the likes of Crystal Palace, America Online and Lucky Coin Casino.
At one point, Cloud's casinos were reportedly valued at £140million when the group was planning to float on the London Exchange - AIM.
Cloud has had somewhat of a stormy history in the world of Internet casinos. His brands were often condemned for "locking" customer accounts and withholding bonuses.
Brian Bailey, who runs the enormously successful CasinoMeister website has stated that Cloud's online casino group once appeared on his "rogue" list but were eventually removed from that category after lengthy conversations with Mr. Cloud.
Further details related to Warren Cloud's untimely death were not available at press time Sunday.
