888 / Uffiliates Add Predatory Terms

Once again 888 / Uffiliates leads the pack in reducing affiliate earnings From reducing earnings to a paltry 10% [if you have 0 new players] to the latest clause which allows them to terminate and confiscate earnings for sports affiliates [at an undefined activity level].... this group has stooped lower than the rest.

Take a look at the list of 888/Uffiliate Terms Alerts at:

As per usual same old non-sense from this group. Unrelated but equally important 888 and some who do promote them are doing some awful things. Such as jacking content from other people's sites. I would not usually put this issue forward but the scope is outside my tolerance level.

They're sure going to have a lot of enemy from this move. I'm sure they'll notice it through searching the web who hate them from that terms. A lot of results will come up.

888 uses their own inhouse black hat SEOs as their 'real' affiliates.

The second 888 figured out they could use their own inhouse black hat seo's as affiliates, they stopped caring about what honest affiliates wanted or needed.

888, in my opinion, is a perfect example of a company that goes out of it's way to make players happy and they even go farther out of their way to screw over affiliates.

You' all better get ready... as soon as the UGIEA goes away... 888 will be back in the US bigger and BADDER than ever. I think it's safe to assume, we can expect even more of their shady (criminal?) marketing practices, backed up by their deep pockets, in the very very near future.

If these jerks at 888 apply for a license in the US under the new proposed laws... I will file an objection.

    Thanks greek...

There is a cost for speaking out against these crooks.

Ever since I blacklisted these guys my site has been 'attacked' by a blackat seo technique I call "keyword dilution".

Before the 'attack' I was listed #2 for [blacklisted casinos] and #3 for [casino blacklist]. For a while just after the attack started my site was not to be found in the SERP for those keywords. But I fought back and my site is coming back now for those keywords. I am on page two for those keywords and rising.

The keyword dilution attack specifically targeted the keywords [blacklisted casinos] and [casino blacklist]...

Gee... I wonder who was responsible for the attack... NOT.

I will say nothing negative about 888 or Uffiliates...

I will say nothing negative because nothing more needs to be said.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uffiliates is a "wonderful" program, and I wish them continued success at our expense...
in spite of how many affiliates they hurt...
or how many ways they demonstrate their callused attitude toward us...
or their complete apathetic disregard for our families...
or how many negative things we will all say about them in person and on our sites at every opportunity we get for the rest of our careers.

And I would like to thank Uffiliates for reminding us all so clearly of why we still need organizations to look out for webmasters rights and shine a light on those things they would prefer to keep hidden in the dark.

    A Better Future

    Hi everyone,
My name is Miko and I work at Uffiliates. I have been working here for the past 2 years and have the pleasure to serve many affiliates and to build many successful partnerships in this industry. I admit- I haven’t worked much with GPWA and its members but I realize that our program is not the most popular guy in these halls right now (to say the least, ha? J)
I am aware of the negative perception of 888 / Uffiliates within these forums and that this program have been accused with many things in the past- black hat SEO, Advocating for spammers, content theft and more.
Well, I can’t relate to the things that had happened before I was in the company, but I can tell you this- Things have changed, a new team of people is running the affiliate program and we will not tolerate these kinds of behavior within our affiliate program.
Any affiliate that will break the rules, will be taken care of. We will not tolerate content theft for that matter.

Per Uffiliates and our terms and conditions. I agree we can do better in explaining our t&c and I am working with both the GPWA guys and some of the affiliates to make sure our t&c will be clear to everyone.

I know we are not perfect but I’m positive we are heading to the right direction to better service you, as you are our partners for success.
Some of you will wave me right away, I respect that. I just ask you to give me a chance to prove you wrong. I am confident that I’ll be able to do it with time.

I’m open for any suggestion you might have to improve our program. I promise to evaluate any offer.

Here is for a better future for all of us
    Miko

I do have to thank Uffiliates for closing the account of a thieving affiliate who stole content from Gamesandcasino. The thread about it is on Casinomeister here: http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...d-bet-com.html

Thanks, you did the right thing here.

Yes, there was actually a bit of tag-team work on that one. I received a copy of the e-mail from Casino Meister naming the site that stole the content (which I new about from our discussion) along with the new information that 888 was one of the casinos being promoted on that site. So I forwarded the newsletter to Miko at Uffiliates.

I was actually very pleased with the response I got. Within an hour he wrote back to me that he had referred the matter to the 888 fraud department, and that he was going to follow-up with Bryan to get more details so the matter could be properly settled.

I've had more back and forth with Miko since that time, and I've been very pleased to be talking to someone at 888 in a position of responsibility that really does seem to care about these matters.

I know there is a lot of history from the past here, and Miko seems to understand that, and be willing to take action to demonstrate those issues really are history. So please, if you know of any sites that are using stolen content to profit off the work of other webmasters using 888 or other unethical practices, take advantage of the fact that 888 would like to demonstrate to us a commitment to taking the appropriate action.

    Thanks a lot, Michael!

I also have to thank the GPWA because initially I was made aware of the copy by GPWA sleuths when they were looking into portal certification for G&C.

I wish I knew what other sites this guy owns, there are other aff programs involved that are not showing on www.red-bet.com
