Advertising fees for soccer website

Hi there,

I’m looking for a little advice on advertising fees. I have been approached by a marketing company who have a client that would like to advertise on my website. The site is 2 months old so I have little in the way traffic history but in the 1^st month I received about 800 unique visitors and this month I’m target for about 1400. I currently have a PR of 1 and Alexa rank of about 800,000.

I’m after a little advice on what sort of fee I should be looking for. The period would be 1 year. I’m flexible on the size and placement of the adverts that I can accommodate and the number of pages that it can appear on. I currently don’t have any info on the advertiser or their target market.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

They almost certainly want to buy a link from you, rather than banners. Assuming you are comfortable with that, $25 a month will be a good place to start.

Thanks Peter, what would you suggest for a standard banner, in the page header for example?

Depends what kind of traffic you're getting? I wouldn't personally pay more than $2 or $3 CPM on generic football blog type traffic. If it's gambling focused traffic then you can put a 0 on the end.
