Hi there

I have received a phone call from Petr from affiliate 4 you demanding we refund his money for a campaign we had placed on hold pending the outcome of the GPWA invewstigation within 24 hours hours or he will send someone to New Zealand to come and kill us. They are there exact words.

I want some help in contacting the FBI in relation to this they did not even try and discuss things. I mentioned GPWA and when will they be responding, and he said they have people ready to come to New Zealand to our home.

Can someone please advise me on contacting the FBI obviously xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx i will report them to the authrorites here in New Zealand as well. I want contact information to the police in there country also.

You would be too if you just received a phone call like that. They were very clear it was Petr from Affiliate 4 you and There casino. I could not understand who it was to begin with and got angry at them because they kept calling. They stated they could not understand me. Then i told the caller to F off as they had not said who they were at this stage.

I hung the phone up, then it rang ten minutes later with another person calling on behalf of Petr, he said i have 24 hours, or he has people ready to come to our country to our home to get us. This is by far the worst i have seen in the online gambling area. There campaign was placed on hold until such times as they responded to GPWA and i have been open about this the whole way through.

I have been in contact with GPWA, but this is a new development. I hope they are reading this thread because i fully intend on notifying authorites in there country. Our phone company is doing a trace right now on the numbers they called from.

Can i get some help from Michael please. Its one thing to ring and ask what is going on, but it is a total new ball game to ring your home and threaten your life.

Next, why would the FBI be called in on this. You're in New Zealand and from what I understand, aff4you is in Europe (if I remember correctly, they claim to have offices in Russia and England, but I could be wrong). Why would the FBI get involved?

IMO, I would return their payment, as it was given with the expectation of your promoting their brands. Even if they are the scummiest of the scummy (which I suspect they are), two wrongs don't make a right.

Hi Jamie, I think the who's right and who's wrong in this situation is a secondary matter to your own security. Definitely contact the police in your own country right away. And I guess just pay the guy back his money - can it be worth holding onto under these circumstances?

Just to let you know our local police department are doing a trace on the calls right now. They do have a patrol car coming around and I have also notified international telecom in our country. Greedy in responce to any dealing, it was placed on hold and I was waiting to hear back from them.

I have emailed them, multiple times with no answer and this is the first contact i have had with them in around 3-4 weeks. I have managed to get hold of a man Marin, who has made contact with Petr and a refund has been arranged. But this does not justify a business calling your home and making a direct threat.

At this stage I am fine, but it really scares you.

I am sorry if i am about to break any privacy details, but Marin has appologised to me about Petr and these were his exact words.

I don't disagree with this. This is why I'm confused about the bit with the FBI. Please re-read what I wrote. I'm not trying to upset anyone or beat anyone up. I just don't understand.

Again, Jamie is in New Zealand. The proper authorities (particularly on a local level) need to be contacted.

Marin seems ok to talk to. I think he has calmed the situation down a little. But it could be covering up what this Petr done. I am still informing our authorities just in case and i will release all details to them so they are well aware of what has been going on. If GPWA could assit with this also with any information they can legally provide that would be good. Michael could you touch base with me please.

Posted this original thread in anger and worry. I have since spoken with Marin and he has offered an appology for what this Petr person had done. It still does not justify any company though ringing an affiliate and threatening them or their family over the phone.

I suggest in future you have someone represent your company that can speak english. Having someone that does not understand what english speaking people are saying is totally silly. How are we suppose to have a conversation and work issues out if we don't understand each other.

Seems you can understand swear words clearly, so please start learning alittle more if you are going to communicate with English affiliates.

This issue is still being looked at by the authorites here in New Zealand. They have been on the phone to a source in Russia and from what I have been told they are trying to make contact with an office in the UK.

Marin and I have reached an agreement at this stage, I will be finalizing this agreement in writing tomorrow. In future Marin regardless if Petr works for you or not, or has invested money into your business please do not allow him to contact me ever again. I will work with you and you only in future, and if i ever receive another threat like Petr done, legal action will be taken against you, Petr and your company.

Its totally unacceptable, but i have accepted your apology. Only just.

I will be in contact with you tomorrow evening and we will go from there. I still would like to discuss things with GPWA as Marin has informed me they have decided not to work with GPWA and no one here has bothered to let any of us affiliates know. According to Marin, GPWA have received notification about this as well.

Just a quick note to say that first of all, I'm glad to see that the horrible situation with personal threats is being put in a better place and that appropriate authorities have been contacted and that they are following up on the situation.

I actually have been up for a while since I am at EiG in Milan, rather than at home in the Boston area, but being at a conference I also did not see Jamie's note to me right away.

We will, of course, do everything we can to be of help.

Hi Michael

Thank you for this, I have now sent a formal letter to Petr which is the affiliate manager that called our home 3 times this evening our time. I have formally requested he no longer contact me at all and we would prefer to deal with Marin from now on.

I have requested this once before, But this Petr seems to ignore the requests. From what this Marin has told me, Petr has actual money invested in their program. So i would assume that would make him some form of business partner.

What he done is totally unprofessional, unethical and i would recommend if anyone is planing on promoting them to deal with Marin as he seems very nice. I want to put this mess away, but it has opened my eyes just how some people work in this industry.

Whether there was a bit of a language barrier or not, at no time should any affiliate be made to feel threatened.
