Not sure why you wouldn't put this in Unethical instead of picking on the GPWA.

I'm just wondering, how many players did you use to bring before this happened? Are they focusing former large affiliates or anyone?

Definitely NOT going to promote any of their brands which is a shame because they convert quite well...

Totally unscientific, but what appears to be happening with them is this.

If you supply a steady stream of good solid players, and keep up the promotions all seems fine.
If you supply visitors that do not convert all seems fine.

If you have old players playing and making you money, but new conversions drop off, they start watching your account closely.

Once the stream of new players seems to have stopped completely (whether you send them current traffic or not) this is when your account becomes endangered. If you are not in regular contact with them, or working closely with them to improve conversions, it seems this is when they just blindly close accounts.

Like I stated I have not doccumented this, but based upon what I have read and those affiliates that I have talked to this seems to be prett close to what is happening.

Personally, I would just rather work with groups that do not play this, and just have terms and commission structures that are fair to EVERYONE, and try to treat ALL affiliates on even ground, no matter how much traffic they send or how many conferences they attend.

In my opinion, there is no reason to close affiliate accounts, short of emails bouncing.

Revshare affiliates that do not generate commissions (in reality) "cost" an affiliate program nothing, they just don't need to pay them.

Newsletters cost nothing since they are being sent to active affiliates anyway.
Promotions cost nothing since they are for all affiliates.
Any costs associated with getting the affiliates in the first place has already been paid.

Inactive affiliates do not cost affiliate managers extra time, unless they are working with them to try and improve conversions, and if they are the practice should be effective.......or......

I just got this e-mail from them. I stopped promoting them a while ago after various tracking-issues and the fact they they were lying about the deductions from gross revenue.

It looks like they have merged my Maxino affiliate account and the affiliate account I used for Betsson, Betsafe and Casino Euro. They haven't informed me about this, but they moved my active players from Maxino to the affiliate account that they will close. They also changed the deal at Maxino without telling me about it from 45% to 25% so they are robbing me on the last payment as well.

    sooo... i'm the next one...
Your March and remaining unpaid commission will be paid out in early April 2014 and your account will be permanently shut down after this process. You will not be eligible to earn or receive Commissions after the effective termination date.
seems that my 24 players do not own them to much money... however.. going to blacklist them this weekend and place them ad acta...

Received this today - which, to be fair to the situation, we have never promoted this group. I'm honestly not even certain we have an account with them. Personally, I'd have either closed my account (if we have one) or I'd have sent a more personal and friendly email if I was trying to drum up activity with me. Sending this generic email is going to get them nowhere. Please, by all means - close our account...

    Dear Partner,

It came to our attention that your account has not been generating much activity for the past 6 months (has not generated a minimum level of activity / new depositing players).

This is a gentle reminder that under our terms and conditions the Company reserves the right to set limits for a minimum level of activity on Affiliate’s accounts and to terminate any agreement not reaching the limit.

We have looked at your account and your dedicated Affiliate Manager has decided not to terminate our agreement but to closely monitor your account activity for the next 3 months and give the opportunity to start promoting us actively on your website(s). We are hoping to see an increase in your account activity during this monitoring period or your account will be indeed terminated after the review period (March 2015).
