    affiliate managers playing favorites?

So when I talk to many affiliate managers I am told they dont offer free chip promotions for new players. Why is it then that I find these casinos all over offering free stuff to other affiliates? Why would they lie?

Why do affiliate managers offer some website owners a free chip ( like $50 free ) and yet not even return my emails?

Do I have a mark on me that says don't give me shit?
    Until we meet again.

Yes I also have seen the favortism....

This is often another case of not structuring the affiliate program to make it fair to all affiliates no matter their size.

Affiliate A makes your program $$$$$$ while affiliate B makes it ¢¢ - who do you think would have a better chance of getting preferential treatment?

It is not fair but has been the case for as long as I've been around.

I recently got involved in an arguament with a program i will not name!

All over the place i see a very good offer and wanted it myself only to be told i cannot have it!

The reasoning behind this was that they have to have a way of incentivising affiliates and by giving their better affiliates this better offer that is how they do so.

Now, i have not promoted these people before so i can not be a better affiliate, however, how do i get to be a better affiliate when i cannot compete with the offers available elsewhere?

My answer to them was stick your program where the sun does not shine, i will never darken your website again with the shadow of chalkie at a desk!

I am happy to work with a program that incentivises, however, not if it is by giving them deals that give them an edge. Give them more commission by all means, treat them to extras if you have to but dont give them an offer that is unavailable to all!

I have to take my hat off to you shaun too for offering your holiday prize with no catches, everyone has the chance to win and this is how it should be.

Yes, it does bite when you see a new casino launch and is offering a free chip to new players (via emails from various forums) and then go to your marketing material and do not see a free chip banner to grab for your own sites.

I am a teeny, tiny affiliate but I should not be treated any differently than any other. If we all had the same marketing material at the get go, maybe we could have more of a chance to bring in some players, rather than the large affiliates scooping them all up because they have a better offer than me! (ok, well maybe their site rankings help too)

I am still waiting for a reply to my email that was sent ASAP requesting a free chip banner, so I will stay calm for the moment.

After reading the above posts I have a bit more to add, a lot of people that working for operators have only ever worked in gaming and have no corporate experiance so for some to see bigger picture it is alomost impossible, but i stand by what I said if the casino A will not give it to you move to casino B and ask for the deal.

I have set up a few deals in the last week on my casino and the affiliates that have gone live with them do have exclusive's on those promos but i have so many slots with somany differannt jackpots i can create a bucket load of exclusive deals.

As I say some people are narrow minded, I dont care if you are big or small in this business if you want my time it's yours.

I have received many special promos on our sites and it is usually because we have to promise to deliver a certain number of players to continue to get these offers.exclusive offers cost the casinos money to set up so they do need to see a potential benefit before handing them out.brand new casinos seem to be easier to get them from .The older programs seem to be more sticky about them IMO.

Its a case of the big getting bigger. Affiliate managers have a budget I hear and they need to get the most out of that budget in the form of returning players. I understand this however I don't understand why a program has to give one affiliate a $50 no deposit bonus and another affiliate zilch.

Perhaps the way to go is to offer all affiliates $20 free. Not 50 - 0 and let the affiliate work hard on getting the conversion. I have a 900 player email list and the other day a new rival came out so I sent an email to the folks at ROCKBET asking if this had a no deposit bonus available like most rivals do. I didn't get a reply but I did get my answer when numerous other sites sent out emails offering a no deposit bonus for the casino. Some $25 free, some $50 free.

Well how can I compete with that? I sent out an email to 900 folks about a new 100% offer and other affiliates sent out a free chip email. I wonder who is going to get more sign ups.

I thought the guys doing ROCKBET may have just been on break for the weekend and would return my email on Monday but NOPE they are able to make sure other forums are ok cause I see the affiliate manager posting and making sure their precious offers are ok for their big affiliates.

I guess managers think that the small affiliates don't work as hard. In fact we have to work extra hard to compete with the promotions being offered by the "big sites" while you play the affiliate favorites game

Keep making the rich richer guys.

pumacat, this is exactly what I was trying to explain on the old GAP forum a while back. (not bbwebs and giggles GAP forum) It had to do with perks and stuff like that, not specifically about free chips.

I agree with you 100% on this one!

Its funny who shows up when you search for "biggest rival no deposit bonus" on Google and yet I can not even get a simple reply email ( I'm 1st and 2nd ) on page one

Its funny who shows up when you search for " ND Rival bonuses " on Google and yet I can not even get a simply reply email. ( I'm 6th ) on page one

Its funny who shows up when you search for " biggest deposit bonuses " on Google and yet I can not get a simple reply to email ( I'm 1st ) on page one

    bingo largest depositing bonus,usa welcome ( ranked 1 and 3 on page 1 )

I could go on and on

My site has been open only 4 months and I'm already ranked on the front page of google with some pretty serious keyword searches and affiliate programs still don't think I'm serious about sending them players. This is ridiculous.

When i was smaller I could not get crap out of aff managers, let alone the time of day. But through hard work to get better rankings and the ability to drive more traffic came better offers fotr players. The casinos are not only competing against other casinos BUT also with the affiliates themselves to get the prime expsosure on that affiliates sites. Deals are cut all the time, its not just bonus offers its also getting better commision rates if you send depositors.

I totally agree with all of you out there who feel mistreated once the free chip or bonus money is offered to certain webmasters.

I have always fought for many years about this problem in various positions I have held and to be honest to no avail.

I will always try to treat everyone no matter what size as fair as I possibly can and to offer the same deal were ever I can.

I would like at the end of the day to have many small to intermediate webmasters than to put all my eggs into a few of the larger ones.

I remember when I first started out in 2001 the same thing was going on so I know how you feel puma. It's not fair, but just like in real life you will have this occur and continue.

Maybe you should throw a few of your "insults" at them and see if that helps! lol Just kidding.

Don't sweat it dude. Looks like you have the hook up now anyway.

I have to agree with your comments; we have a different policy regarding no deposit bonus and so far it is working.

However i have noticed that some affiliates just take the free bonus and place them in their no deposit bonus pages but they forget to give you placements at regular bonus pages, recommended casinos, etc...

Maybe something to think about when building good reciprocal business relationships.

If that happens then it could be an oversight so I would suggest that you ask them for the other exposure due to the fact that it's in all parties interest to do so.

I know that I try to give a deposit promo along with the ND promos so that we all can make revenue. Personally, I don't like these offers because they are alot of work and not always profitable.
