Hi Aussie Dave, sorry for the late reply regarding your question.

The newsletter is from one of our affiliates that we are working with.

I am sorry if you may have received it without your consent.

If you have any further questions regarding www.gnuf.biz and our affiliate program just send me a message!

Cheers
Henrik

It wasn't a newsletter it was commercial advertising material that was sent without my permission. That constitutes SPAM.

Your Spam clause:

"1.32 'Spam' means any electronic mail message the primary purpose of which is the commercial advertisement or promotion of a commercial product or service (including content on an Internet website operated for a commercial purpose).which is intentionally transmitted to multiple commercial electronic mail messages from or through a computer"

I know what spam is, but from your response it seems that nothing is being down about this affiliate who Spammed me. Or is there?

Thanks for putting up your hand on this, but, you got to understand from my point of view and other webmaster too, we get bombarded with this cr#p (SPAM) day in day out. It both frustrating and time consuming.

These spammers actively take part in email harvesting to acquire email addresses, they also purchase databases of email addresses that don't have our expressed permission to be used for marketing. Pretty dodgy activities in my opinion.

With that fact in mind, what do you intend to do about this affiliate who has SPAMMED me & probably 1000's of others?

Cheers

Dave

Hi again Dave,

That is not supposed to happen and once again I am sorry that the promotion email reached you. It should only have reached selected players that had accepted 3rd party emails. Apparently your email has been on that list and how that has happened I do not know

It might be as you say, a person that has “harvest” emails.

I myself get annoyed with all the spam that reach both my private and work email, it is a nuisance.

We are in contact with the affiliate who did this and are having discussions with him. It is not in the interest of Gnuf to send out spam since it causes more harm then good.

Exactly what we are discussing with this affiliate will not be published on a public forum but I can assure you that it is being monitored and dealt with from our side.

Cheers
Henrik
