American online gaming venture betting on regulation

U.S. Digital Gaming (USDG), a multimillion-dollar venture founded in 2009 by former casino executive Richard Bronson, expects a "domino effect" to happen after the first state legalizes online poker.

USDG provides everything from software and legal services to licensing, marketing and advertising operations.

    From the GPWA:

Bronson said he expects a "domino effect" to happen after the first state legalizes online poker. He said legalization on the state level, also known as intrastate gaming, would give commercial casinos, American Indian tribes and state lotteries an edge over bigger casino companies due to their dominant position in the local market.

That seems to be exactly what we want am I correct? We want to see everything legalized but not overly taxed so that there is no incentive to play at that particular book or online casino, Am I right in this thinking?

Awesome article, and a very encouraging prediction Me and my friends guessed this may start happening after one state legalizes online poker. All that needs to happen is for one state to legalize, then the other states will follow one by one (to avoid missing out on an extra revenue stream). Its going to be so exciting when this starts happening, the poker/gambling industry will bounce back to life

I'm not too worried about the possible tax rates once poker becomes legalized. I think a taxed gambling industry is better than a banned gambling industry. But I agree, hopefully the tax rates aren't too high, profits certainly do matter
