Annie Duke says Wynn against online poker

Poker celebrity Annie Duke is in Washington D.C. this week meeting with various politicians in conjunction with the PPA's National Poker Week. Duke had some very pointed comments about a giant in the land-based casino industry.

    From Gambling 911:

Ms. Duke claims: "Steve Wynn keeps coming up as the only major casino owner still against online poker. Consider that when deciding where to gamble in Vegas."

When Steve Wynn figures out how to make money online, then all of a sudden he will see the light. Right now he is under the misconception that online casinos hurts land based casinos. The online poker boom built the poker rooms in Vegas.

Definitely a pro-poker player like Anne Duke will comment on that issue. Who wants to go in Vegas without playing poker. This is the most exciting and mind tricking game and celebrities find it a good interesting game.

    Now I am completly opposite.

I would rather play poker online....but sloits, I would rather play live.

I do agree though, that land based poker rooms are much more popular today than they were "before the online boom".

I would imagine that Mr. Wynn knows this, understands it, he just is not willing to publicly acknowledge it.

I agree 100%. We know for a fact that ethics, religion, or politics is not a factor for him. He's more concerned about the "conventional" Vegas model that has served him so well in the past. Once he finds a way to succeed online he in there!
