Another reason for not liking cops!

Nottinghamshire police officer leaves 2 police dogs to die in police car on hottest day of year.

I heard about this today and was absolutely aghast and dismayed that of all the people to allow this to happen; it was a police dog-handler. You get the idea about how close these handlers are to their dogs and it just beggars belief!

To make matters worse, it seems that the car in which the dogs died was just yards away from Nottinghamshire's brand new purpose-built £300,000 dog kennels where, clearly, they would have been in a suitable environment whilst their handler did..., whatever it was he was doing in the police station.

Although, having said that - as for another reason for not liking coppers; it's all very well until you get burgled - then who you gonna call? ( and I DON'T mean Ghostbusters!)

No, bad title i admit and i dont dislike cops either.

Although after last night i am not sure the cops are much help when you want them:

Neighbour of mine called cops at 3am as there was a guy trying to break in to his house.

He told cops that the guy had a knife and was there to kill him. Cops came, strolled up to the guy and asked him why he was there standing by someones front door.

Guy says, he had fell out with his girlfriend and gone for a walk to clear his head. He was 7 miles from home ffs.

Police told him to be on his way.

After he strolled off the guy came out of his house and said but he has a knife! Does he says cop? Yes he does says guy! Cops run after guy and struggle him to the floor taking a knife off him!

Why they not frisk him in first place?

What if guy had not told cops about knife for a second time?

If they want to be cops they should be committed and responsible enough for the job!

They should be charged with "murder". These beautiful dogs were also fellow police officers, and if these men had killed two human police officers they for sure would be charged with at least manslaughter!!

I cried when i read this, those poor beautiful dogs, what a waste and such a horrible shame.

This is a very sad story I am not a big dog fan but still very sad and these coppers should be accountable.

I am also not a huge fan of the Uk police so many of them have a huge attitude I cant stand it they are power happy.

    Disgusted

Police are just a legalized gang. I have no respect to those that do not respect animals. I second locking them in a sauna. Teach them a lesson.

    wow, some perspective folks hey

Yes this is a sad story and the cops in charge need to be accountable and yes there are some rogue cops but to dislike cops per se is just wrong, especially the UK Police.

I have seen Police in action worldwide both in reality and on TV etc and the British Police stand up well against most and i for one respect them dearly and thank god that we have a police force that we can call on when needed.

    Rather that than anarchy

For the record when i was just 16 i was badly beaten by the police and i mean badly beaten, it was 6 am it was snowing in Tottenham and i was walking to work, i put a baraclava on because it was so damn cold.

The police saw me walking with a bag (contained my lunch) and they thought i was either going to burglarise a house or whatever, i also had a sony walkman blasting in my ears.

Anyway they pulled their vehicle up behind me and called me to stop, i never heard them so one of the coppers grabbed me from behind and spun me around, i thought i was being attacked a lashed out with a single punch which connected.

As soon as i realised i hit a policeman i stopped in my tracks and said sorry, too late, in the back of the car and at the station i was given a tremendous good hiding.

When my Grandad and boss turned up to see me they went absolutely ballistic, i was a mess, all hell broke loose, i was let off with a caution and got an apology at the same time.

My point is i have as good a reason to dislike the police as anyone but i know the good job they generally do, i know we need them, and i know that all things considered the UK police are as good as it gets.

    Now flame me

I'm gonna call Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson, along with Mr. Remington and Mr. Winchester... I think we can handle any intruders. BANG BANG BANG!

    On a different note:
Where I live Police shoot dogs just about everyday. Just yesterday a cop shot my neighbors dog six times for getting in to a fight with a police dog that came into his yard...

Unfortunatelly, Mr Smith and Mrs Wesson along with Mr Winchester are quite illegal in our country!

The police have been known to shoot people here with a toy one let alone a real one!

Anyway, be no use to me as my old Sgt Major used to say:

"Chalkie, you could not hit a barn door at 10 yards with a sawn of shotgun"

He was right! Well in training anyway as i had to do it all by the book!

Out of training and it was a different matter!

Having said that I was an 81mm mortar man anyway, would be fun seeing a burgular off with one of them!

    Same here.
We have an old saying... "The Government can have my Guns... After they pry them out of my cold dead hands."

After a bit of practice anyone can hit the broad side a of a Barn with a Shotgun.... lol

I'll bet there are a LOT of people in Iran that are wishing they would not have given up their guns.
