Antigua WTO dispute with U.S. still not resolved

Remember when the WTO ruled in favor Antigua in a trade dispute regarding online gaming? In case you've forgotten, Antigua hasn't. They're still trying to negotiate a deal with the U.S. as per the WTO's vague orders. It isn't working.

Being the nerd that I am, this case does enter my mind quite regularly. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Likewise. Respect to Antigua for not caving in. They obviously have a financial incentive to protect this industry on their island, but you have to support them in the face of what looks like an attack on part of their economy. Especially when you consider the UK just send any UK citizen the US asks for straight over on the next plane, without doing any of their own due diligence.

I'm glad they are bringing this back up. US gave concessions earlier bbut I wonder if they are now over and why Antigua is reexaming this.

    Hypocrisy... http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...82C0JU20120313

The U.S. uses the WTO to try to get other countries to comply, but when the WTO rules against them, they just ignore it.

I think the other countries should start doing the same thing to the US.

I say give this law another 6-8 months before something changes, election time should definitely have an effect on this law
