From my point of view:

Great for me as support for the GAU was in copious amounts from the few affiliates that i met and all the programs. The power affiliate stream showed the support from a few super affiliates that we need for the GAU to succeed.

My first attempt as a speaker/panelist at one of these events went well and i never got in to a pickle or lost for words so that was a bonus!

Must say, it seemed to me, rather program heavy and more business was done between operators than programs and affs.

Day 2 and a few of my meetings never materialised due to it seems the program staff not attending.

Hope the lifts at the venue are fixed for january or there will be chaos.

Never did the awards so cannot comment there.

All in all a good show for me and i imagine it was for plenty more people too! Perhaps the dates were not the best, right after thanksgiving, another conference and just before christmas, not sure.

Excellent setting though, right on the Thames with some great views.

Been going to CAP Conferences for over 5 years and I have to say that EGR was far better in every way, and will be the first conference I put in my diary.

No pushy affiliate managers, some superb talks, CEO of Bwin, Betfair, Ladbrokes, Unibet, Doug Richard of Dragons Den.

Also I liked the way all the talk wasnt of all the free parties all the time which can get a bit borin and grinds on me after a while.

Awards for superb...bit cramped but Mark Watson comedian was really funny. A very prestigiuous event!

i am sure many o fthe affiliat managers at conferences are pushy but considering we are not allowed out in public very often youcan not blame us...

The free party side of things i agree with 100% most of them are complete crap and in crap venues to be honest o think i have been to about 3 or 4 really good parties.

As for the awards I would hardly say prestigiuous event you just need to be tickets...

So will you be attending LAC???
