Thumbs down Anyone else unfortunate enough to use Coolhandle hosting?

Been trying to get to one of my sites hosted at Coolhandle for over 14 hours now, even Coolhandle's main site is down, emails bouncing. It's starting to happen on a regular basis this year but never for this long. And guess what? No frigging communication! FFS - I can live with an occasional problem if I know it's being worked on and I'm kept up-todate.

Anyone else suffering? Any ideas as to what the problem is? When it's expected back?

I really have to get away from there. I've tried so many "shared" hosts over the years but this is easily the worst ever and this is the final straw...it's damn annoying when you pay in advance and then you have to move a huge site somewhere else, which is why I keep putting it off. Thankfully it's a not a major earner, but still....time is money. 14 hours could mean a missed whale. Grrr

I have had no dealings with Coolhandle hosting I'm afraid so I cannot comment, however if you are looking for a good host who has literally no downtime - I can recommend Rick ( Universal ) as i use him and he has never let me down.
He won't blow his own trumpet here - so I am blowing it for him...in a manner of speaking..

Damn sounds like Dataflame we have been down on 3 sites for hrs today and I am getting very annoyed!

Sorry to hear that. Change your hosting as soon as possible.

I've been using Dayaha Host for several years, which is very reliable.

Thanks Heather....

I see that coolhandle is back up....and judging by the notes on their site, they claim they just did an upgrade and recommend changing the ip if you pull mail by IP, so maybe they moved servers to a new set of ip's....

This could easily take the better part of the day...but with better planning should have had less downtime...and certainly should not have been done without notifying the clients....

I use siteground.com which is very good for me... fast response never had a problem with any of my sites.
