    APCW Open Letter to Microgaming

APCW's Open Letter to Microgaming in Regard to the Grand Prive Affiliates

    Dear Microgaming,

There comes a time in the course of business when the most profitable option is integrity. Your company helped to lay the very foundation of the online gambling industry, and throughout the years built an unmatched reputation of character and fairness. Now, however, the same industry you once led watches as you sit by silently, refusing to embrace the same qualities which helped to propel you to that leadership position. It is both saddening and discouraging that, at this most critical crossroads, you must be encouraged and to choose the ethical option.

The Microgaming name once carried with it a connotation of honesty, fairness, and credibility. These terms are still found in the verbiage of your website today. However, where those words once described a business philosophy and code of conduct, they now appear to be merely marketing fodder for a software product. It is long past time that those in the highest positions of your corporation look down toward the foundations upon which Microgaming was founded, and recommit to those ideals for their customers, for their partners, and for themselves.

Microgaming cannot remain silent and then criticize the dialogue of others. They cannot sit by motionless and then be viewed as an industry leader. They cannot demand respect and then absolve themselves from responsibility. And they will not move past the wrongs which have been committed without first helping to do what is right. Therefore, the APCW has taken the initiative to create a list of suggestions we feel are in the best interest of those who have been damaged by the actions of the Grand Prive Affiliates, and which we believe are also in the best interest of Microgaming:

    1) Take a proactive stance in revisiting the Grand Prive investigation, encourage the management and ownership of Grand Prive to cooperate by turning over all affiliate records from November of 2008 to present, and help provide any additional, missing, or contradictory data to independent investigators including, but NOT limited to, the eCogra Group so that an honest, fair, and transparent outcome can be achieved.

    2) In the event that Grand Prive fails to cooperate in facilitating a fair and satisfactory outcome in any way, then we encourage Microgaming to remove them and any associated properties under the control of the same ownership and/or management, as a licensee immediately. Also, to bar all those directly associated with Grand Prive from obtaining a license or otherwise doing business with Microgaming in any way until this matter has been resolved.

    3) Construct and execute a plan of specific protections to help prevent situations like the Grand Prive Affiliates from re-occurring, including a more stringent selection process for those applying to use the Microgaming software, ongoing audits of licensees cash flow and liquidity, a "code of conduct" for dealing with affiliates, and a requirement that these licensees hold some sort of reserve in escrow as a minimum protection for their contracted marketing partners.
Fighting for trust, honesty and integrity
    in the online gambling industry!

    About Microgaming
Since the company developed the first true online casino software over a decade ago, it has led the industry in providing innovative, reliable gaming solutions. Thanks to an unrivalled R&D programme, that averages 60 games per year and a unique 'partnership' approach to working with operators; Microgaming powers 120 of the world's most profitable casino sites. The company's front and back-end software supports multiplayer, multilanguage games - over 350 of them, all uniquely branded. The Microgaming Progressive Jackpot Network is the world's largest progressive and has paid out a record £115m plus in the last four years.

Microgaming software also powers the world's leading poker network with over 40 card rooms and platforms for landbased and wireless gaming.

As a founding member of eCOGRA, Microgaming is at the forefront of an initiative focused on setting the highest standards in the gaming industry, and leads in the areas of fair gaming, responsible operator conduct and player protection.

    Hi All,

I'll continue to stand firm in my belief that Microgaming are in conflict of interest with their association to eCOGRA & visa versa.

Good Letter, however I don't think GPWA should be on Microgamings ass when there is slow pay complaints of gpwa sponsors going around.

I'm looking at threads that guys have been waiting over a year to get paid. No gpwa response, nothing

"as long as my yearly sponsor fee clears who cares!"

    Good point AK.

Also, apparently, the Casinomeister spoke to the Ecogra boss, and the Micro ceo yesterday on the phone.

Nothing doing, right at the top. They can't.

Grand Prive hold all the cards, because without the aff database from referspot, no one can prove a thing.

Get used to it mate that's the general status quo. A prime example was the Vegas Affiliates fiasco was allowed to go unchallenged for over 12 months. Even then, from memory when mojo brought up the issue, it was not VA who got dragged over the coals, it was poor mojo that bore the brunt and coped a tongue lashing for interrupting someone's vacation
