I'd just like to be clear about what we did and what we are doing with today's video.
First of all, the information that was published in the You Tube video was indeed just screen captures from the public information state websites show for Affiliate Media and Effective Media. What I now understand is that these public records list their home addresses rather than their business address.
I'd like to be clear that was not obvious to us. I have said there is a clear relationship between Lou and Warren and Cardspike, and there has been a demand that I provide documentation to justify the statements I have made by many people, including GamTrak who has posted in this thread. And all we were trying to do is to examine public records that were helpful in terms of our demonstrating some of the information that is important in terms of establishing that relationship.
Also, to us the address listed for Lou looked to be a business address. Our primary focus was on Effective Media Group, and we knew from separate searches that Effective Media Group owned the property at that address.
Now Lou or Warren could have called me right away about the issue - they have my number and we have called and spoken to each other from time to time. But instead they had their attorney call random numbers around our office, so it took hours for me to get the message.
When I did get the message I consulted our technical staff and determined what was involved in taking down the video, and we had the video removed within about fifteen minutes after I found out about the situation.
I have consulted with our attorney about the matter, and determined that there was no legal reason we needed to take it down. But I agree with everyone that publishing home addresses is not cool, and not what I want us to be doing. In the consultation with Lou's attorney he stated to me that he did not realize the information was so publicly available the way they had filed their business records, and that thought it should have been done differently. I agree with him.
At the present time we are in the midst of editing the video so that the addresses are obscured. We will repost the video once that work is completed. The good news is that there were not that many views of the video at the time it was taken down. We had not yet gone through our normal promotion process for the video so not many people had seen it yet.
Since I am banned from making any posts at CAP, I would appreciate it if someone who is not banned would post a comment with a link back to this post in the CAP forum thread where I have been told J.Todd and I am being accused of stalking the professor. That way folks there can see a more complete explaination of what transpired.
Heh, it's amazing to me that after all the threats, nasty emails, nasty IM's that Lou and Warren want to act like victims now.. They have robbed me personally of almost 4k at this point with Cardspike, and after I spoke out repeatedly I have been threatened by Lou and Warren and then finally banned. Then threatened some more.
This is how bullies act when people start to cal them out on it, they want sympathy.. I agree that home addresses and family should not be involved, but this obviously is public record open to everyone, and I seriously doubt it was even intentional..
I am glad the videos was removed because it show that GPWA and APCW are ABOVE those type of tactics, CAP cannot say the same..

Lou just made a thread over at CAP about his personal information being posted in the most recent APCW video. I wanted to share my thoughts.
For those of you that don't know me, I have been on the poker affiliate side of the industry since 2001-02, and the founder of the original poker affiliate forums at PokerAffiliateWorld.com which are now owned by CAP. (PAP)
I can absolutely see Lou's frustrations about his home address being posted. However I sincerely doubt this was the intention of Jtodd when making the video. This looked like the address that was listed on the State's website, so actually, the information was already "posted on the internet".
And although I feel Lou's pain here, he is not the only victim. It sucks having your wife call you crying doesn't it? Amongst the multiple legal threats that have been sent out by CAP attorney's in the last 2 months to multiple individuals, I have been the recipient of (2), and another email just an hour ago.
Guess what, my wife called me crying when she saw a threatening legal letter saying I was going to be sued for $1.5+ million dollars. I have invested a great deal of my personal savings to start my own business and launch PokerAffiliateListings. Likewise I have worked my ass off to be a leader in the poker affiliate industry for 7+ years.
While I have no ill will against anyone at CAP, and I genuinely feel bad for Lou, he is by far not the only victim here. Lou, Do you think those of us getting constant C&D's and threats from CAP attorneys sleep well at night?
Do you think it is not fucking with my wife's head knowing that if you file a frivelous lawsuit against me or an injunction (which has been threatened) that I will no longer be able to provide for her and my two daughters and that I am going to lose my home, my savings, and everything I have worked 7 years for in this industry.
Personally, I have noting to hide regarding my business, and I have my home address listed in the whois for PAL. The sky is not falling.
This whole mess could have easily avoided in so many different ways. There is not a militia of people out to get CAP. But when bullies threaten EVERYONE else in the industry around, at some point, well, these individuals are going to get fed up, stand up for themselves, and fight back.
All I can say is Wow.It is really sad to see you guys not getting along.At least the address gone removed fromt he video and I suppose lou should fix these public records to remove personal address.
