What is the average of traffic you need to have to start to see some earnings?
I don't think you can put a number on it that easily. It depends on the quality of traffic, what they're looking for and did your site help them find it.
Yes, I know is kinda difficult but I want to know other people experience, right now I only receive like 30 and 40 visit daily and the only earnings that I have are $60 on Bodog from 2 months ago, so basically 0.
Hi Felku,
Doolally is right, it all depends on the quality of the site.
I know people who literally get 50,000+ per month yet struggle to convert it, on the flipside I know people who get 500 visitors and earn a lot more. Look at the traffic sources and try and estimate the intent of the visitors, I did a white paper on this a few years back for my old company - shoot me a PM if you want me to try and dig it up
Cheers,
Dave

Do you use google analitycs? by now the only thing I use to see the traffic in the control panel of the hosting server
Hi Felku.
I get the same levels of traffic as you do - about 50 or 60 per day over mutliple sites. Probably have about 10 players a month sign up to a site - earned nothing for ages and then more than 5000 each month in the last 2 months. Just about plugging away I suppose.I got lucky with 2 players. Might last ages, might not last another month but I'm writing about something I really enjoy rather than as a business so it's a bonus for me.
What davemerry said above says its best. Dave if you're keen on sharing your whitepaper.. I'm keen for reading![]()
18 months or so but not as a business. I like slots so I blog about them, I didn't even add links to casinos for the first few months and even now it's an afterthought (and badly done) but I hit lucky now and again.
If you're entering this as a full time business you'll need time or a great URL/Idea and money.
If it's not a passion of yours then there is almost certainly easier money elsewhere I'd say.

I got the grand total of 45 visitors to www.reviewonlinecasinos.co.uk last month, so unsuprisingly, no earnings.
I cant put number its depends on your work .
When started my first site I had my first sign up within days and with only a handful of visitors. But then for the next couple of months it seemed as though no matter how much traffic the site got, no one would bite. Then all of a sudden it started getting a bunch of signups.
Similarly I have a site I play around with that gets maybe 50 visitors a month and in it's first month it picked up a couple of hundred € in revenue and then nothing since.
It's just one of those things - stick with it and you'll get there in the long run! And stop checking your stats every two minutes - it's a waste of time and it's depressing in the beginning!![]()

^^ This, stats checking every 2 mins or even everything in the beginning can be very discouraging, but I big fat did it anyways in my first 6-8months.
I am surprised no one mentioned this, but besides the quality of your traffic, the quality of the brands you promote matters as well. Imagine that most of your traffic comes for the US, bettors ready to bet and all of the books/casinos they see have EU ones not allowing US players. Do you see what I mean?
Or say most of your traffic comes from Australia, and those people would most likely want to be on a sportsbook for example that heavily covers Australian leagues and stuff, but they see a book that generally targets UK for its bonuses and promotions.
Once you are sure you've got the right brands based on location, you can start focusing on the reasons why these people visited, and with what kind of keywords. Me for example focused a lot in the beginning on previews. Exactly as you see it, team a v team b preview, there wasn't even the word betting in there. Most of the traffic that came in was just looking for previews, of course little to none were interested in betting.
Once I started covering sportsbook offers, cashback rewards, games, prizes sign ups came. I still do betting preview, but heavily oriented towards odds, bets, and current ongoing promotions.
Bottom line no traffic is useless. While some might not convert, it doesn't mean it's the wrong type of traffic. Such people can find your site interesting, link to you, this will have a good impact later, some might share it with friends and on social websites like facebook twitter etc.
Try to make people come back, by offering newsletter. People that are interested in you and have subscribed, will be much more willing to follow your advice on casino/book reviews, sign up bonuses etc.
I think I've rambled long enough, hope this helps you. Nevermind the numbers, they mean nothing.

Definitely think about quality...but quantity helps also. Try to put yourself in your visitors shoes...when they visit your site, is what they are searching for right in front of them and is there a highly visible call to action button there. That will help with conversion. When I first started out I wanted the biggest and best affiliate site there was but to be honest it takes way too much time to manage and you get a lot of visitors but little signups due to all the information available.
After a bit of experience behind you, try to think as the user of your site and try to narrow down subjects and create simple niche sites with calls to action.
Hope this helps

Yup xecutable summed it 100% couldn't have said it better.
Some sites get 10 visitors a day and they convert whilst others get a 100 and don't. Bottom line, rather focus on quality as opposed to quantity. Just keep at it, sooner or later you're bound to yield some players. There's no quick fix to success in this industry.

the simple equation is 'the more quality traffic you get the more revenue you will make'.
However, and this is what makes affiliate marketing fun/infuriating* (*delete as your preference...), we had a site that we had built but then left alone, which was getting XXX traffic, and all of a sudden we hooked a whale who gave us 4-5 months of £x,xxx revenue. What did I do right? Nothing? What relationship did £x,xxx revenue have to xxx traffic? None. See what I mean.....

Yup I guess at the end of the day it's all about player preference. A player will do a search if he/she finds a site they like they'll make a deposit and wager. They always say content is king, to a certain extend this is true, but I've spoken to webmasters in the past that have very little content on their sites and yet they have a ton of players.
