Best converting casino banners

Not sure if there is thread for this. It would be really helpful if the affiliates & affiliate managers can list their top 5 banners in terms of conversions and share some of their experience.

This will help affiliates in selecting the correct banners for their websites/ promotions and affiliate managers to create better converting creative for the affiliates.

The thumb rules define the following as good banners
- Easy to load
- Prominent and clear call to action.
- Good ad copy
- Some animation/ eye catching?
- Simplicity of layout

I would like hear what others have to say.

You have most of what I would say indicates a good banner..................

I would always advise my graphic artist to have clean simple banners which its home what I am offering and not too many rotations ...............if any. I never have the time to see whats going to be next.............just me,but time is money in this business.

Something to catch the eye.............then to give the promotion details and a little movment. Like I said........clean & simple

Just look around at the eToro's banners...................lots of air,clean and simple.

not a banner farm on a banner...................if you know what I mean

Many times you will see "Top ads" or "Top performing" banners when you visit an affiliate panel. Most Rival Casinos have that and there are a few other backends that will show the best performers.

Personally I prefer a banner that does not look like the Vegas Strip. Not a ton of flashing. In this day and age I think that the banners should be a compliment to you article... add color to a page and not distract from the well written ad you have. For me, text links out perform banners and I am sure that is the case for most all.

All good points- another good general tip is to not use banners with that have .com or .co.uk URL extensions on the brand name when making banners for affiliates.

With banners that just have the brand name, the player is less likely to type the URL into their browser, and more likely to click through the affiliate banner, which means that it will result in commissions for the affiliate.

Often when I request this from programs, they go out of their way to create banners for each of the slots, and although that is good, they will often forget the other games.

We need more generic banners for slots, video poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, etc etc...

oh, and while on the subject, if you have a 100% bonus on roulette and 300% on slots, don't put the slots bonus on the roulette banner.

And please do more colors...

I am updating a page now, and needed to replace a 125x125. I had decided to replace it with one from a recently opened casino and took a look at what they had in this size, but sadly they only had 2 to choose from and although I had decided to use one of them, when I saw that is was over 46k I decided against it and moved on to another property.

If you're looking for targeted games banners, the ones that I find convert best for slots are the ones that have the familiar characters from the games on them, or the ones that are pretty plain but have a slots theme..
