I am sure your company are perfectly reputable but the extent of the Sunderlands/Sunderbet/Bet Presto situation is allegedly all about the defrauding of customers.

The simple facts are these Betpresto gets set up in November 09 with all deposits in Sunderlands sent to that site (but crucially the customers are not aware of the switch from Malta to Curacao.)

The management team take over on 15 January 2010 from the original owners and low and behold BetPresto disappear in February.

The slap in the face is that the LGA REFUSE to help the punters because they say that Betpresto was never under their legislation yet it used the same people...same servers and even the same email address as sunderbet.com and sunderlands.

I have written to the LGA's legal team to seek

    a) Clarification as to whether Sunderlands Online Ltd have correctly registered their new owner - one BARON MENZEL (check out his past on google)

    b) How I can legally oppose their current and/or any future licence applications.

Until Sunderlands give the punters their money back - silence should not be an option.

Here Here! Complain loudly and to anyone who will listen.

    Another point on the LGA:

I have an email from Matthew Attard with a Sunderbet email address acknowledging that they owe me this money. Not even that is enough to get the LGA to act. I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt but they are just sitting on their hands saying 'Nope, this is too hard'.

As I said in a prior post, I am hoping they are working hard in private to resolve this but I am not holding my breath

Shamokin, please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you.

Hi Ben - I got my money back through sheer persistance as put simply, I wasn't going to go away and threatened to expose them in the media.

I would get in contact with the contact at the Maltese Police (see page 2) and would copy your story to bookmakers review website.

    Good luck

I am the opening poster on this thread and would like to request that the title of this thread be renamed.

Basically Uwin have stepped up to the plate and done the right thing, they are under new owners and management and the new people there have paid all monies due to old affiliates, given them all their players back and re-started the affiliate program.

They did exactly what i requested and they deserve credit for doing the right thing, especially when it was not the new people that did all the previous bad things.

I have met the new people in charge and they are good people and i think it is now unfair that they are branded alongside betpresto when they are no longer classed in the same category.

Therefore can we change the title of this thread and remove "Uwin and" and just have it called Betpresto do a grand prive and close affiliate accounts.

    Martin,

It is uncommon for us to change the title of a thread, but we do make such changes under appropriate circumstances. Since you are the original creator of the thread requesting the change, and since the issues you were calling out related to a prior owner, and the new owner seems to be operating in an ethical fashion, and since the initial complaint has been fully resolved by the new owner, then I think this is one of those situations where the request to change the name of the thread can appropriately be acted on in my opinion. I have, therefore, changed the thread title as requested.

    Is that the case?

    Cheers.

    No mate

That was why i wanted the thread title changed to avoid this confusion.

My original post was about two seperate incidents, one involving Youwin and one involving Sunderlands,

Youwin have come under new ownership and resolved all issues,

Sunderlands have just gone from bad to worst

There has never been any connection between Youwin and sunderlands or any company associated with sunderlands,

I just combined both companies in the same thread to alert people to what had happened.

Sunderlands.co.uk says on the website -

    Important Notice

Sunderlands Bookmakers, established in 1946 and a long-standing member of the BPA and RBA, based in Croydon, Surrey UK , wishes to make it absolutely clear that we have no connection whatsoever with the businesses operated in Malta by Sunderlands Online Ltd and SOL Curacao NV, nor the websites trading under the names 'Sunderbet', 'Sunderlands.eu', .BetPresto. or .BetVivo.

    Now I'm really confused

That statement is correct, however it does lack some background.

Sunderlands.co.uk are a very old UK bookmakers and DID own Sunderlands Online until 2008 when they sold out.

Sunderlands online was bought by Sunderlands Europe limited but after a year of owning the online company they realised they were not very good at their business and closed the site down owing players and affiliates alike.

In 2009 Sunderlands Europe then opened up a new online bookmakers called Betpresto which was again this year sold and yes owing money left right and centre and then rebranded Sunderbet.

So Sunderlands.co.uk are indeed correct, they have had nothing to do with online business since they sold it, when they sold it Sunderlands.co.uk had an impeccable reputation and still do, it is a shame that their name has been stained by the new various owners.

So heres the chronology to my understanding

2008 Sunderlands.co.uk sell Sunderlands Online (Sunderlands.eu) to Sunderlands Europe Ltd
2009 Sunderlands Europe close down sunderlands online (Sunderlands.eu) and rebrand it betpresto
2010 Sunderlands Europe sells Betpresto and the new owners rebrand the site Sunderbet.

What betvivo has to do with any of this i have no idea.

Now the above is my understanding of the chronology of events based on what i have read online and my own previous experience at being ripped off, if i am wrong in any of the above then please correct me, it is better we have accurate info.

The above however to my knowledge is accurate,

Looks pretty much what you say Betpartners.

I have mentioned before I'm uneasy with Betfred selling the online arm to an unnamed third party. Seems like Sunderlands were the guys to be worried about. I linked this firm up on name alone, with no research.

Sunderlands sponsored the 3:15 @ Sandown on saturday. Sunderlands.co.uk, not Sunderlands.eu, so they're still alive and kicking, making money on the rails, which is where you need a good history.

Personally speaking Betpartners, I would advise Sunderlands to investigate who is owed and pay it if they can.

Joeyl you are right that Sunderlands.co.uk should consider stepping in and doing something, if only to protect their brand name.

But they are caught between a rock and a hard place, if they did that it would be a good thing but what is to stop the current owners of sunderlands.eu or sunderlands online etc doing the same thing again knowing that the real and respected sunderlands.co.uk will pay up to save their brand name.

Also we have no idea what the cost to them would be, i have no idea if they have shareholders and so on, therefore the chances of them doing anything are minimal.

If they could get back control of the domain names then maybe they could consider it, but while ever they do not own the "other" domain names i cannot see what sunderlands.co.uk realistically can do.

I cant even remember if they owe me anymore and i have just wiped this one off as another bad one, this is not like grand prive where there was some sort of mass protest, this situation just does not have any form of momentumn behind it.
