I have neither visited nor checked on my site for over three months. Maybe I will take a look and see. If there is a problem the java above looks workable.

Thanks

Thank you Dom for sharing this whole experience with us. For those of us who are technically challenged it is very helpful to learn what to watch out for and what to do. I wish I could help in some way.

From what I gather from here and CAP is that their is only one purpose of this kind of action. It is devastating to lose your (and bigfish) traffic even for one hour never mind this long.

I like to believe that there can be a positive to every negitive. Going forward the road to redemtion starts with complete honesty and a forthright answer that you are seeking.

Best of luck.

Big thanks for all the followup on this Dom, Greek, etc... amazing how easily it is to get screwed out of your hard work. I'm tempted to put that piece of code to prevent the practice on all of my pages, "just in case"

Dominique, GPWA and members,

Concerns regarding this matter are now fixed. Codename has begun making the necessary changes. The sites are currently 404 from my location.

Thank you all for a job well done. I would like to personally thank Lou for taking a tough stand against this practice.

These sites are now down. a couple appear to have been taken down by google and the rest by the owner.

Google also wiped the index of them.

Google reports DO work, just not usually instantly and they have to be filled out properly and it helps to include a friendly and concise description of what is going on.

Big Fish and others, if you still have a problem with this, please contact me and I'll help.

This will help your sites asap I understand.

I am not content to protect myself against this incidence though, this is a community issue, it can happen to anyone, anytime and needs to be exposed.
That little piece of javascript is something that I used to implement in all my sites. Back in 2000 or maybe before that people had a habit of pulling other sites into their frame set.

It was a shitty practice then, now it affect the serps, can be used to jack aff links and basically is stealing copyrights and intellectual property right too.

I'm going to make it habit of implementing this javascript again. Sometime better to be safe than sorry.

Cheers

Dave
