Beware of these link cheaters

After I was exchanging links with the below sites I found out from a post in another forum that these guys cheat in a very sophisticated way.

Apparently On their pages they have a
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE"> tag..
This means no links will be followed by the search engines.. hence you give them your link but your link on their site worth nothing as it will not be found by the search engines and no rank will come to your site.

These are the cheaters:

http://www.jackpot.md

http://www.onlinecasino.md

Link swap is based on trust, if cheating webmasters will prevail this will spread and all of us honest webmasters are in trouble.

We must make this case an example to other webmasters that are cheating or plan to cheat. This webmaster have thousands of link partners that are not aware of his practice. I for one have removed his links from my site.

I call upon each webmaster to email all his list of link partners about this. Every one must participate in this or all of us will lose.

There are many other sites that use this practice. Not just the network mentioned in this thread.

I think I've even ran across some GPWA member sites that use the same cheating techinique, so I think it's a good idea to check the robots tag for all potential link partners from now on.

By all means...if you could possibly give us some examples of others (GPWA Members specifically) that are using this practice.

We are aware there are problems with the group mentioned in the first post.

If you have specific examples of GPWA Members cheating their link partners, we would like to see specific examples.

Personally I have always found link exchanges with GPWA Members pleasant and beneficial to both parties.

I've never received any complaints or information that a GPWA member was using these techniques, but yes, if anyone has this type of information please forward it to me at manager@gpwa.org

Diko - Thank you so much for your concern, because you're right. Most of us here don't link to the .md sites (or any other of his) and haven't for quite a while because we've been watching him for a very long time.
