Bingo revenues: good, bad or ugly

    Hi,

I am promoting a local affiliate program using mailings en banners. Untill recently I have never promoted Bingo so I thought I'd give it a try. Only I have no benchmark on what normal revenues per active player are.

Right now I am averaging 15 euros per player per month on a 25% rev share basis. Is this good, bad or ugly? And should I stay or try other programs? I have been searching the forums for this but can't find anything about it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Well I am promoting bingo, but have only just started so I don't have any personal experience of the likely revenues from players. However, I did a fair amount of research and googling (and forum searching) before I started in bingo and the impression I got is that you don't get lots of revenue per player (thus your €15 per player per month seems entirely reasonable) but that the players are loyal - they tend to bonus hunt and casino hop a lot less than table game players.

So, bingo is much less about catching a whale and much more about numbers and building up a steady stable of players. However, as I said this isn't my personal experience, just what I gleaned from the reading around I did before I started my site.

Not sure if this helps, but thought I would stick my oar in as you weren't getting replies!

i hate bingo and think its a scam in general on the part of alot of online bingo sites. I however can tell you that when I did promote bingo a few years back i did it with referbingo and they had a very good retention program and i was making about 600-700 a month with them. I liked them because you could promote bingo and slots at the same time.

This is interesting, why do you think it is a scam? Scamming the players with very low payout percentages or something like that? I am genuinely interested in why you think this.

I am promoting big UK brands to a UK audience, I would trust (insofar as you can trust any brand) companies such as Sky and Virgin. If there is scamming going on I would definitely like to know about it as I don't want to promote properties associated with such behaviour!

You are correct that bingo players overall do tend to be a bit more loyal to the room/property.

It is much more about community etc than it is about room hopping.

I am surprised that Dom hasn't popped in here to throw in her 2 or 3 cents yet as she has posted about this many times over the years and can shed a fair amount of insight into promoting bingo.

What I can say is concentrate on the comminity aspects of some of the properties your promote, and the chat rooms and how many players can get to know some of the other players etc and this may also help build loyalty among your player base.

Gamingdollars pulled a fast one last month by closign down the affiliate program but keeping the rooms open. That is the problem with being a bingo affiliate not as much support from the masses on issues like this.
Revenue giants is good , we got a player there losing 4k a month now hahaha. Also some microgaming programs have bingo and of course the big uk bingo rooms.I have very active bingo players from 5 years ago still so if you can get a few players and keep them the income will build. My best even bingo earnings was in 2005 a few months we hit $15,000 on gaming partners who ran Kiwi Bingo , has some really big USA players there. The good days

The directory of online bingo sites is huge and if you look at many of them they are low end sites with poorly build web pages and all while advertising other bingo programs. I am not talking about big bingo sites like giggles bingo, Saturn bingo or the ones Judy mentioned. I'm talking about those low key dirty ones ( and there are a lot ) who don't have 500 bucks to fix their website but are giving away $10,000 a night in full page calls. I don't believe for a second that these sites are giving away that much money to real people and I know some bingo sites use bots to fill the tables and what stops the bots from winning a jackpot? I have also had my email address sold by various online bingo sites. Put ll that together and you have my reason for believing that bingo online is a scam.
    Until we meet again.

I disliked very much what Gaming Dollars diod as well.

In fact, for a few days when attempting to log in you were presented with a note to contact them about issues, and now the note pops up upon arrival at the page.

It shows the following email, pd@gamindollars.com and when I attempt to send email to that account it bounces.

I was hoping to work something out for the small amount they owe me, but I figure that will never happen.

If they do this to affiliates, clearly they're bingo rooms should not be trusted either. I do not know of long lists of preious issues with players at thier rooms, and if I am incorrect in that, pm me the details.

Like others have said, bingo players can be loyal and well worth promoting in the long term.

Just to add in my two cents, I agree with everyone's comments that Bingo players may spend a bit less on average than other verticals, but tend to be more loyal and really engage in the social community aspect of online bingo - the chat, the fun contests, etc.

I'd look for brands that have a solid, established reputation, strong branding, lots of fun social tie-ins, and good CRM (sign up as a player to all the brands you are considering to compare their CRM campaigns).

    Hi guys,

I agree with what some others have said in this thread - bingo is all about community, so you should look to work with the brands which place this at the core of their offering ahead of too many marketing gimmicks or being over-reliant on free bingo, as they will retain players better and you will earn more on a rev share deal in the long-run.

Hi Mark from paddy power. Not to throw you off topic but do you have an email that actually works where I dont have to wait 7 days for my application to the program to be approved?
