I didn't know alex was away. Sorry Alex!

Indeed an affiliate conference and some good questions IMO Mojo. If Alex is the advocate for such events it sounds reasonable for him to ask the tough questions plaguing affiliates.
I hope roguish programs are not attending! That's JMO and it's something that I think should be looked at for sure.

There are so many great programs out there and I see many of them in this thread are attending. That's the best thing for affiliates and I hope you all have a great (and safe) trip!

You havn't forgotten us affiliates have you? There is an affiliate crisis going on right now. Is anyone aware of this?

And what about affiliates that are NOT attending? Is conferences what money is spent on? Therefore, new predatory t/c's? Can't blame a girl for asking!

Are affiliate programs so flat broke that they are enacting predatory, retroactive terms yet turning around and spending THOUSANDS on a conference?

Rucy, you got some 'splainin to do! LOL

I'm positive you don't like my questions but I ask anyway. Thanks guys for listening! I hope we don't find 'conferences' in the unethical behavior forum.
Hi Mojo - Just back so will look into this now for you - Straight off we do try to ensure that only ethical programs attend because afterall we want to be paid as well Unfortunately recently programs seem to have gone "rogue" suddenly and then changed back and with my wedding (reason I was off) and organising this event I haven't kept up that well with it all but off to AGD to check what the latest is

Oh and as for them spedning so much on conferences that they have to create these terms - If they were I would retire but unfortunately it isn't us getting that money. If anything we are getting less money than we were last year.

But back to the serious note please feel free to PM me if we have any one advertising, exhibiting etc that is rogue and specifically why and I will do my best to exercise our "power" to help

Hi all - Sorry for me being quiet - Back now though - Below is an update that went out last week - Enjoy

    Hi everyone,

I hope you've all enjoyed a relaxing summer break and are now looking forward to another trip away to attend the Budapest Affiliate Conference! Having just put the finishing touches to our 'Complete City Guide to Budapest', we can confirm it really is an amazing city with so much to see and do. So, if you're looking for some tips on what to see if you get the chance, click here and have a read!

Below you will find the latest updates on BAC, if you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

    The Highs of Budapest Nightlife
Budapest is renowned as a party town and we don’t intend to disappoint, having chosen the biggest and best venues in the city to host our infamous networking parties. Bingo Base have prepared intimate welcome drinks at the luxurious Sofitel Terrasse & Bibliotek Bar on Thursday 10th September to get you all in the mood for Expekt's late night party at the stylish & chic Creole Bar. New comers, ChanceRoom will then thrill your senses on Friday by hosting a party at one of the most exclusive clubs in Budapest, White Angel. Don’t forget to RSVP by clicking here. And last but not least, Saturday's closing party, which C-Planet are hosting at the trendiest bar in town, the Prive Club, which promises to conclude the event with a bang. So, expect a final night of fun and frolics and let your hair down after a couple of intense days of business.

NEW BAC hotel - Limited Rooms!
The official BAC hotel has now SOLD OUT and so has our second hotel; the Intercontinental. But don't panic! We have a limited number of rooms available at a third hotel, the 5* Hotel Kempinski Corvinus, which is still just a 2mins walk from the Sofitel. We advise you to make your accommodation arrangements swiftly to avoid disappointment, so please visit our booking service here as soon as possible.
The shuttle bus service to the SYMA Exhibition Hall will leave from the Sofitel hotel so all delegates staying at the Intercontinental and the Kempinski Corvinus are asked to make the short walk to the Sofitel should they wish to take advantage of this service.

Got a Hot Domain to Sell? Want to Grab a Sparkly, New URL?
GamblingInvest and BAC have teamed up to bring you an exceptional opportunity to raise your revenue and get that golden URL. For the first time at an iGaming Affiliate Conference we bring you a live, gambing-related only, domain auction - the perfect marketplace to buy and sell premium gambling URLs. The full list of domains for sale will be available to peruse at your leisure one week before the event, so whet that appetite and get prepared for the fierce competition that will follow on the conference floor. If you're looking to sell, be quick as we only have a limited time to auction all the domains, please email sales@gamblinginvest.com with your details.

ASOP Free-Rolls Start with a BANG!
For the first time ever in iGB Affiliate Conference history we have opened the ASOP Tournament to all exhibitors and operators as well as registered affiliates. Who will win the coveted golden bracelet? Which Affiliates and Affiliate Managers will battle it out to be crowned champion and win the cash price of $6,000? If the first week is anything to go by, it’s clear that the stakes are high and the competition is mounting. If you want to be in with a chance of playing in those live rounds at BAC, we have a tournament tonight at 7pm and then six more during the next two weeks, all in the safe hands of our ASOP sponsors Cake Poker and Smart Live Poker. To register and get your password simply go to www.asop.com.
    Thanks and speak soon,

In this case, I dont know of any places within the conference centre to say sure, lets meet here. The main entrance is pretty obvious but how far is this from the conference itself?

    Can anyone help me out?
As its in an expo hall I would say the best place to say is registration - That is what I am saying to people and if they don't turn up me and you can meet

    Hi Alex,

Congrats on your nuptuals! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.

I am very glad to hear your views on this. Perhaps it's better in a new thread though with feedback from everyone. I'll send you a pm too.

You do have some power in this area and thanks for listening.

    BAC’S Official Networking Parties!
We know the lines of work and play are often blurred in the iGaming industry and we like to keep it that way! With four parties over three nights, we have plenty of surprises for you in store...
    THURSDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER
6-8pm – Bingo Base welcomes you to the first night of BAC in the luxurious Bibliotek Bar. Located in the Sofitel hotel, drop your bags, freshen up and come prepare for some serious networking fun.
9pm-late – Happy Birthday Expekt! After ten long successful years, Expekt will be celebrating in style at the Creol Bar, a cool and fashionable lounge bar with a Caribbean twist. As with all parties, its only polite to RSVP but be quick as tickets will be needed to enter.
    SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER
9pm-Late – C-planet join us again in to help us close BAC with a bang! Prive Club is an amazing venue that will dazzle your senses, the perfect place to close off those deals from the last two days, enjoy the free bar and dance the night away! We can promise that as with all Affiliate Conference closing night parties, this will be a memorable and spectacular night. RSVP details will be sent out next week.

New Niche Event for Spanish iGaming Market
iGB España is not simply another affiliate event on the calendar and won't be like our bigger expos. It’s a completely niche and localised conference focused on the Spanish speaking igaming markets which will explore the potential of these exciting, emerging markets in-depth. It will offer dedicated content with sessions in Spanish with live English translation, an exhibition and networking room, a central Madrid location, free entry for affiliates and media owners and 3 networking events! Almost there Martyn... only on friday we only need one Funky Chicken, but dont worry, I will make sure I bring one along that you can wear.

Otherwise; Thursday is smart casual, but Friday and Saturday will probably be more smart than casual. You don't need to go all out (unless you want to) but probably avoid flip flops and trainers.

Planes are easy Chalkie, just think that every noise is something falling off the plane and wait 1 minute. If you are still in the air all is good - order another mini can of beer.

Regards the chicken suit comment...wrong thread boyo... post it here.
