Buzzluck Old Aff Program Closing And We're Loosing Our Players

If this isn't in the correct thread please move it.

    Just in via email.........

    Greetings

And thanks for your interest and support of our little adventure, Buzzluck.com.

Unfortunately, I had to let players know that there are significant changes pending with the Buzzluck brand as new owners (finally) take control of the brand.

Since your relationship was with my firm, I'm reviewing your accounts and will settle any monies owed over the next few weeks.

If you are interested in driving North American traffic, drop me a note as the acquiring party will be focused on that market.

Thanks again for your support and interest. Been a hell of a ride--the most expensive lesson in MY life, but DO appreciate all your efforts and sincerely wish you the best in the future!

    Alex

It will be interesting to see if and when we get paid. Once again players lost. And the new owners are pursuing US traffic? Why would anyone even want to be a part of this?

Robin told me "if they're not atleast 2 years old we're not going to touch them". The last couple of months has shown me exactly why she said it.

Is this not another Grand Prive move? Once again the affiliates take it in (or up) the end.

I know I won't be adding the "new" Buzz to my offers. 6 months down the road they may have "new owners" again and they might flush the players again. What a BS way to shaft affiliates. This from a program that was also Casino Cubed that mysteriously shut down.

Taking notes of the steerage of these brands so that in the future they don't open another brand and shut it off in 6 months time.

Nice way of doing business huh?

    Mail to players:

Date: Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 12:03 PM
    Subject: message for all players.

Subject: Thanks; After Buzzluck's First Year...

    Greetings

This past weekend marked Buzzluck's one year anniversary. And with the passing of time comes the inevitabiliy of change.

Buzzluck is moving to new owners, with new plans and goals and aspirations.

And while they've acquired the brand, and the website, they don't get you, our valued players.

So we are winding down the operations of Buzzluck.com as we know it and ask that you withdraw
any remaining balance in your account on or before the 27th of March.

Thanks again for your involvement in this ambitious adventure.

Safe to say we did live up to at least one goal:

    "Never Bored."

    Cheers

    Your friends at Buzzluck
I bet the players are all "Invited" to check out the new brand too. No one is throwing away a player list.

Wasn't this public knowledge some time ago when they moved to Panama, almost in the middle of the night?

Did people really think casino cubed owner really got "sick" ?

I think I need to be more vigilant here in CR for you guys, I am sorry. I really thought this was known for some time.

It sounds like good advice, but it is rarely followed, even by some of those that expound it.

The aff is chasing new players by default. To not advertise a new casino until it's 2 years old will not be followed by your hosts here for example, across thier network of sites.

Hence, your morals will cost you big time.

    What to do?

I've tried to follow that rule since the Grand Prive fiasco and intend to apply it here out. There is no guarantee, but it will prevent the likes of GP and Buzzluck from getting back on my sites anytime soon. There are enough of the reputable programs around to make it work! I will make an exception if it's an affiliate manger that I've worked with in the past.

Wow. Remind me not to go out of business again...

It's been a difficult few months as we scaled ops down for an acquisition and affiliate communications have suffered (although as I recall Jan's affiliate payments went out on time and now it's time to do Feb's which we'll combine with March's and clear 'em all out.)

And then the acquisition itself has been mangled a bit so I have to close the casino ad yet still salvage some value from the brand if possible.

We ALL took risks on the Buzzluck venture (while I respect your investment in my brand, my investment, and loss, is several thousand times yours regardless of how you value your time/real estate/player list etc.). And I appreciate that--and have and will continue to pay for performance on that.

Buzzluck is "not stealing your players." Player lists are worthless these days--and Buzzluck's players were all NON-US; new owners seek ONLY North Americans for their own reasons.

If I'm wrong about this (and I'm not) and you want to buy Buzzluck's enormous non-US player list DO ping me here and I'll proportionally share the proceeds of the list sale with the affiliates. No one will take me up on this though cause a) the list is relatively small and b) the list is usless (as ALL player lists are). Players came for BUZZLUCK, not some other stupid me-too-golden-drap-vegas-casino.com who spams them on the back of a list purchase. We worked hard to differentiate both as a brand and in our player services.

In fact, I've invited all Buzzluck affiliates who HAVE US traffic to stay in touch as I will have a new deal for them.

I've tried to always be upfront and honest about what we're doing, for affiliates and players, including letting people know in advance that this is happening.

Casinos do come and go--suspect it'll be a long time before you see another like Buzzluck, or run like Buzzluck, or even close like Buzzluck.

My sincere thanks for your support of Buzzluck and you can rest assured that Buzzluck's affiliates will get paid. Industry is too small to do otherwise...

    Cheers,
    Alex

This IS in the wrong area, would appreciate it being moved. Your concerns about getting paid are legitimate (and you HAVE been paid BTW). But it's not unethical behavior.

    Thanks

I'll proportionally share the proceeds of the list sale with the affiliates.
So you will now be selling the player list?
