Default CAC event for April 3-5 will include Social Media Marketing

Press Release

6th Annual Amsterdam Casino Affiliate Convention Held April 3-5, 2008: Includes Focus on European Social Media Marketing

NEW YORK, NY--( Marketwire - February 26, 2008 ) - Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc. announces its sixth annual European Casino Affiliate Convention, taking place April 3-5, 2008 in Amsterdam at the NH Grand Krasnapolsky Hotel.

The European Casino Affiliate Convention (http://www.CasinoAffiliateConvention.com) covers advanced internet marketing and advertising methods for the casino, poker, bingo and sportsbook industry. As the largest convention and exposition on gaming marketing and advertising, it attracts the largest assembly of online gaming affiliates at one event. Most are high revenue producing "super affiliates."

The online gaming industry is both one of the most lucrative and one of the most competitive internet business today. It is primarily the first to explore new methods of marketing. CAC2008 covers the most advanced methods of marketing for the casino industry.

One of the specialized topics covered at the event will be Social Media marketing for Europe. Although the subject was first covered at a 2004 Casino Affiliate Convention, interest in this form of marketing has grown substantially. It is believed that Social Networking and Online Gaming is the next phase of marketing for both operators and affiliates.

CAC2008 Amsterdam is expected to be larger than any previous year. The main exhibit hall for the 2008 Amsterdam Casino Affiliate Convention is completely sold out. Few additional sponsorships are available. Attendance at this event is limited and is expected to sell out.

The company will also have its first Russian Casino Affiliate Convention in Moscow on June 7-8, 2008. Also, the second annual Asian Affiliate Convention will be in Macau, PR China on November 21-22, 2008.

Curious if you keep statistics regarding who attends your conferences?

Would like to know what percentage of affiliates attending are doing so for the first time. What perecentage have attended 1-3, 4-6, + events etc ...

Further, would be very interesting to know how many if any of these new affiliates end up producing for the programs, a stat programs would surely have to track in order to justify attending all the conferences out there.

I am certainly curious as well they appear to be tailored towards the elite.

As someone who has attended many of these conferences over the years I can say that the conferences attract attendees of all types.

There are definitely a lot of larger affiliates at the conferences. And meeting with those "super affiliates" is definitely an important part of the reason for attending for many affiliate programs.

But there are also a lot of affiliates that are attending for the first time at many conferences. Some are larger affiliates that just have not done it before, but many are smaller affiliates that want to learn more to increase the liklihood that they will become a bigger affiliate.

I have attended numerous conferences over the years and have to say it seems to be mostly comprised of the same people event after event.

I will admit I haven't attended one since Sam (uncle) put his foot down, so possibly the number of newbies who become repeat attendees is on the rise, but I have my doubts.

greek39, I wouldnt say they are necessarily tailored toward the elite, though travel expenses for upstarts might not be feasible - no doubt plenty a sucker has paid the piper only to make a deal with the likes of cpays etc. and were ran out of the business sooner rather than later.

I'm just curious about the justification for a conference every other month. Personally as a larger affiliate I don't need to travel across the country to have someone buy me a drink in some cases at the direct expense of other affiliates. I'm also trying to look at it from a programs perspective (which is really not possible, but I'm trying anyway) I dont understand why its necessary to party at every given opportunity - seems the money could be much better spent.

Since the UIGEA passed the industry has definitely changes in terms of being a lot more diversity in terms of the countries webmasters come from. This means for a conference held outside the United States (and they all are now) there are a lot of new faces.

I actually think the sessions are more geared towards the novice. I learned a ton at my first conference... But since then, the sessions, while valuable, are more reminders and a new idea or two rather than fresh information. And networking has at least as much value to small affiliates.

Every conference I've been to has been totally worth it... Had it not been for other travel plans (and personal things), I would be at this conference.
