Can I sign up for an account under my own affiliate account?

Newbie here. I got approve to being an affiliate in several sportsbook sites. My question is can I sign up for another account under my own affiliate account?

I'm also an active bettor so I'm looking into saving something from my loss by passing them in to my commissions. Or perhaps I'm just missing something here? What's the best way to do this?

No affiliate program will allow this!

Some do, provided you are actively promoting them. Ask them and see.

Its a shame that I can be the biggest bettor of my own as an affiliate and I can't even benefit from it. Is an affiliate account and betting account ALWAYS a separate account? Does some affiliate programs allow us to bet directly from the affiliate account?

I think you'll find that almost every program has a term against this because they are an affiliate program and doing what you're asking is not affiliate marketing. In fact, doing what you're doing is more like screwing with margins. Place a big bet and no matter what happens, you win and the sportsbook loses. I don't see how any program will allow that.

Rather than take advantage of a group, perhaps you should talk to the sportsbook manager about a VIP deal or something if you plan to spend decent amounts of money.

IMO this is making a mockery of the people earning a living in affiliate marketing.

I agree with Renee, if you want to earn as an affiliate then keep your player earnings and loses seperate from your marketing efforts, I also wouldn't recommend pressing the issue if the affiliate program you are considering says "no", it will only serve to make your working relationship with them very difficult.

I have only seen a handful of cases throughout my time where affiliates have been able to play on their own tags, and in every case negative carryover was instituted in order to keep the margins even and things fair for both parties invloved.

If you did this you would gain a serious edge over the bookie.
The aim of the affiliate is for the operator to make money and then to share their profits, not for you to get cashback on your losses.
Attempting to do this might even be considered fraud.

This is why a number of affiliate programs (eg: bet365) require you to recruit a minimum number of players before they will pay out.

I support affiliates not being allowed to play under their own accounts.

I do NOT support affiliate programs NOT paying an affiliate for a player sent under their tag, whether it is their very first player or not.
