CAP Awards Golden!

A definite highlight of the CAP Euro conference in London was the CAP awards ceremony. And I definitely came away with a whole new concept of what the term "Golden Girl" could mean. I'll simply never have the same mental image ever again when I hear that phrase. In fact, I'm not even sure I should show you what I mean (since I'm pretty certainly violating our code of conduct by doing so), but I will .....

The "Golden Girls"

The inagural CAP awards ceremony took place at the Chelsea Football Club. There were over 500 in attendance including affiliates, operator and affiliate program representatives, and more.

The evening began with champaign served by the golden girls, followed by some fabulous vocal entertaiment.

Then there was a delicious five course dinner. A big thanks to CWC affiliates who invited Steven, Eric, and I to join them at their table.

As dinner wound down comedian Rhod Gilbert took to the stage and gave us all a good laugh. Then we were off to the serious matter at hand - the actual award ceremony. Michael Caselli was the master of ceremonies and the winners were.....

I believe the awards ceremony is a testament to how much the iGaming industry has grown and matured over the past decade. I, for one, was proud to be in attendance.

As a guy, I didn't even read anything you wrote Michael. I just looked at the pictures. lol Looks like you guys (and gals) had a great time. Personally, I love the idea of the "golden girls", or at least half of them!


Hopefully, I'll be able to start attending some of the CAP functions. My first will hopefully be during spring break.

I would like to (again) assure people the Golden Girls were not my idea although no one seems to believe me!!

I was really worried anbout the awards and how they would turn out and was pleasently surprised what an amazing night it was from the entertainment to the food - I can't wait to organise next years!

Yes, it was an extraordinary evening that was for sure and I am still in shock about the GOLDEN GIRLS. My overall picture is that everybody had a great evening and it was well put together. "A big round of applause". To everybody that was involved in putting the evening together.

It was an awesome event! I want to thank CWC for inviting me to their table. Deb, Nicole and Jonathan are a great group. It was nice to see deserving people get awards.

Everything about that night was very memorable. Especially the volume of the speakers. LOL We had to talk in between the songs, but it was kind of funny after awhile. The dinner was 5 star and I'm very happy that I made the effort to attend.
