Default Casino Affiliate Marketing in the US

    Hi -

I am interested in finding out more about what is happening in US.

What are people's experiences of marketing in US? And how do you manage the differences in legality between states? Do you geo-target by state, or just to everyone in America?

    thanks,

It seems like almost everyone here is not doing that.

Depends on the casinos you intend to promote I guess. There are those who accept players from all States, there are those that don't. You can if you want geo target, but, I doubt if it will be worth it.

    Hi casinomark,

I'm mainly targeting USA traffic. I also target other countries from around the world, including the United Kingdom.

Most of my traffic comes from the USA and this seems to be the best converting geo-target for me.

Only two states are regulated by now. There will be more changes in the future in US.

I live in the US, and have always felt like I would be pushing my luck if I marketed here in the US. Has there been any affiliates who have had issues? I think there would be some liablility, but I haven't seen ANY issues with affiliates having issues.

    What are your thoughts vtyunby65?

Pennsylvania is now the fourth. Before that, there have been three, not two.

Are you talking about marketing to offshore/unlicensed (in the US, that is), or to US regulated? There are plenty who are already doing the latter.

    Hello WagerX,

    How are you doing today?

I think that you should be just fine. I think that you shouldn't have any trouble if you marketed all of your websites in the USA.

You haven't had any trouble at all so far.

I encourage you to go for it!

Please, let me know what your thoughts are.

Take care now and have a lovely day ahead too!

Ignoring any current legal issues, if you market unlicensed operators to Americans now, there is a huge chance you will end up frozen out of the market if/when it regulates. I think it's almost certain other states will follow NJ in requiring affiliates to be licensed and if you have a record of advertising unlicensed operators you will get blackballed.
