    Default Cpa

I constantly see posts in forums for "which programs offers the best cpa" who really cares about cpa apart from spammers and black hatters. Revenue share appears to me to be the only option worth taking as an affiliate. Why do people still go for CPA?

It depends on their traffic also. If they have a low quality traffic they choose CPA, but I also prefer to work only with Rev Share. I even don't promote Poker Stars(but I would want) because they offer only CPA.

    Hey rob,

I think you need to have diversity in your sources of income. For example if you have 10 RMP's per month on one site that is MGR that's great except what if these 10 do not amount to anything but a few bucks. If you choose CPA as well and had 3 sign up under your cpa on another room at $100 a piece you have just made $300, which sustains your not so profitable players.

I have MGR and CPA, and I have also mixed up my links to have both for the same site. MGR can be good but if they don't bring you the money than why not give yourself something else to fall back on.

Why do webmasters still go for CPA ?

they choose CPA because point to one strategy of short period.

Actually the question really is :
Is it better for one roast chicken tonight ?? (very tasty delicious)
Or 3 eggs per week for the rest of the hens life ? ( could be 3,000 eggs!)

We all know that the roast chicken tastes best ...
But missing out on the residuals continually would be stupid.

Revshare affiliates know what happens during WSOP time.
I've seen a single player generate over $1000 in rake to US in under a month !!

    CPA of $50, $75, $100 or even $200?
    No thanks !!!

    The facts usually are :

    (1) if a room is prepared to keep you on CPA - then they must be making more profit off your players than they're paying you. You lose.

    (2) if your players don't perform on CPA then you get dumped from the program. You lose.

so YOU LOSE either way - why consider CPA?

That's almost impossible to give you mate.
Every website has a different quality of player.

But I'd estimate that my site players are worth :
    - around $100 per month
    - may stay anywhere between 1-12 months

It's longevity that really seems to be the key in making revshare work.

If you are continually promoting different bonuses at different sites to your players then you do not get this as they jump about.

If you promote loyalty benefits, such as reload bonuses, special tournaments, merchandise (etc) to your players then they seem to stay longer.

As far as I am concerned, revenue share is the only way to go. I don't care if they are offering $200 to $250 per customer. In the long run, revenue share will pay off. If it wasn't for revenue share, I would not be making 1 penny right now as I have yet to have a new deposting customer at any of my sites over the past couple of months. My regular revenue share customers are what's keeping me getting paid.

I have 6 regular customers at Brightshare and at least 3 of them play every month and sometimes all of them, and just with these customers at 25% revenue share, I am still making a nice little chunk each month, and that is taking into consideration that most are US citizens and the difficulties of depositing these days. Plus I am still getting paid for a couple at Fortune Affiliate that have been playing now for a couple of years and it all adds up in the long run.

So don't let the CPA hype fool you. In the long run, you will make more money with revenue share than you ever could with CPA.

rev share is not good when the affiliate program end for whatever reason, or US to non-US

I agree. Diversify your revenue MGR stream with CPA. The CPA will be slow at first but in time it may grow to be 20% of your income - which could be covering your cost base already.

The tricky part is choosing which programs to go CPA with. go MGR with programs you want or envision to be in a long term relationship with. Though that is a rather simplistic view coz I'm on a CPA program with a room I envision to be long term business partners with.

Good luck with it. CPA aint all that bad.

ask any vet ..... they'll tell you rev share unless they're underhanded.

    there's really no comparison.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

    Hypothesis
With CPA you have 100 $
With sharing revenue you have 480 $ , ( you have 40 $ to month in average from every player ).

    -------------------------------------------------
You image that your website is as black box. ( you give in input 20 every month and you receive in output 100 : then you have one cost of 20 $ and you earn* 100 $ ).
If for something costs that you have, you earn* 5 times to month, for you it is better the CPA ( you have more money to earn of more ).

To understand better, you think to one website that have only costs of promotion ( this is impossible but you think ) :
If you pay 20 $ in promotion and you earn 100 $.
If you pay 200 $ in promotion and you earn 1000 $.
If you pay 500 $ in promotion and you earn 2500 $
    ……
You understand that is better to have 100 $ now that 400 $ in year ad then 40 $ to month ……
    Why ?
With the 60 $ in more to first month, you are able to earn 5 times only in one month…….

[ when you see that increasing the cost, the earn don’t increase as before you should to start to choose revenue sharing ]

    ----------------------------------------------------

it is clever who have 100 $ for cpa or who have 400 $ to year in average for player ?
