DiCaprio to star in online poker movie

One of the biggest movie stars in the world, Leonardo DiCaprio, has been attached to star in an untitled movie that takes place in the world of Costa Rica-based online casinos.

The movie is written by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who also wrote the cult poker classic "Rounders."

Buzzy doesn't know how (or if) this movie will turn out, but if DiCaprio stays attached the chances are it will be a critically-acclaimed flick. DiCaprio rarely swings and misses when deciding where to act.

I wonder why the location is at Costa Rica. Is there any issue filming it the powerful country? And in addition to that, Leo might be following other celebrities who fond of playing online casino. That film maybe his starting point.

Right now there's a reality show in the usa filmed in the CR jungle called 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here.'

I watch it cause I'm a reality show degenerate. Pretty but lot's of snakes and aligators and weird looking bugs. They are filming live right now.

This is good news for the online gaming industry. Rounders has been a cult favorite and has gone a long way is educating the global audience about Poker. Looks like Leo's film will be a another one to add to my must see list

Oh I wish you were right. I saw on CAP TV that this movie will be called The Affiliate and will include a scene where Di Caprio is shot.

If this is true... it probably won't give the image we would like to give the world.

Rounders was an excellent movie and definitely part of my DVD collection. I'm interested to hear more about the movie, Leo will definitely give it some "street credit". Rounders and 21 set the bar pretty high in regards to poker/casino movies.

As long as it's better than the Drew Barrymore movie "Lucky You", my chick told me it was a poker movie...wish I had those two hours of my life back. LOL
