This is happening already Rick: https://promotions.neteller.com/
Sent several complaints to different institutions about this today, let's see what will be the outcome.
This neteller merchant opportunity is a bad idea for this business : once this gets out of hand there is no stopping which could result in a dead end road for affiliates because neteller can do whatever they want. That is why I contacted the FSA watchdog.
casinos and the money service provider have the clients details and from a security point of view this is quite alarming !

Thanks Lloyd. I'd really like you to still try and convince the non-marketing affiliate team that they are damaging the affiliate side with such an obvious promotion.
Yes it's a bad idea for this business, however, why should NETeller care? Of course we might vote with our feet and use other places for payments, however, does our affiliate business revenue outweigh the casino business revenue and whatever the get paid to do the promotion?
Yeah, this is so tough. Cause on one hand we all believe in free and open trade but on the other hand there is sometimes a tendency to believe the other side is acting unfairly when in fact all the other side is doing is optimizing their legitimate marketing alternatives.
Isn't there sometime to that? I mean the player opens a Neteller account to play at online casinos, not at one online casino and will play at the casino(s) they love most regardless.
I don't really have an issue with this. A lot of casinos over here advertise on TV and are just as (probably more) likely to hit players I have referred. Those players also trawl the web daily and see ads and offers for other casinos so the way I see it Neteller is just another competitor in this regard.
Also, I use Neteller almost daily and I'd never even noticed these promotions LOL. They're not exactly in your face. And one would assume an affiliate could do a joint promo with Neteller too if they so wanted and felt it was worthwhile? If it was Brightshare doing it directly then I could understand more why one could argue there is a conflict, but it's not so that's kinda irrelevant.
I can see why it's considered competitive sure, but not to a great extent IMO and I don't think it's unethical at all personally. If there is any complaint I guess it would be against Neteller for competing with some of their customers, but that's not exactly uncommon nor is it IMO unethical. It's just business in my book.
The biggest problem would come if the casino decided the Neteller tie-in was a better way to spend money than on affiliate marketing.
Cheers,
Simmo!
got another promo email with other merchants (not All Slots) see post at
