O goodness...
I guess I cannot be quite so polite and just dance around this subject in a delicate manner, so here goes: Warren Jolly was just as guilty as Lou Fabiano ever dreamed of being. It was Warren who issued statements which he knew were 100% false. He lied about relationships between CAP, Affiliate Media and Cardspike. And he deliberately misled the entire industry about his own "beneficial interests" in a blatant conflict of interest.
He was part of the bullying, manipulation, and threats that CAP perpetrated on the good, honest people of this industry for many years. Yet now he's systematically gone about rewriting history a piece at a time so that somehow he's the victim in all of this? All the while he goes about kissing peoples butts when face to face and bad mouthing them behind their backs... all in an effort to divide, diminish, and tear down... all just so CAP can rise from the ashes.
Sorry to step on some toes here, but I just have to say that this is all a bunch of bullsh--t. The people who are knowingly helping Warren rebuild his empire in full view of the past are doing so at their peril, but even worse they are potentially setting motions into action that will harm the rest of us and this industry. I consider them my friends, but what I am seeing makes me sick.

I truly miss the community that once was CAP.I remember the days where I needed hours just to read the threads of the day.And it was not crap stuff ,it was always a need to know post.I don't think we will ever see that again in terms of the volumms of posts.
I'm not buying the story that one guy(Warren ) was good and Lou was the bad guy.In my language they were both tarred with the same brush. If Cap/Warren is making money from the conferences I am sure Lou is getting his share ,he is probably being paid to go fishing now while they play this good guy/bad guy until we all drink the Koolaid they are serving .
I am not going to think less of people if they choose to go there ,I go there maybe once a month myself and post occasionally.

Just some facts:
Lou was bought out and has no connection to Affiliate Media anymore.
He retained whatever other companies existed. Affiliate Media owns message boards. He was also paid sums due to him from affiliate media accounts. That case is closed. The lawyers did their thing and it's all been settled for some time.
Also, reaching back now to a much earlier post, there are no paid moderators at CAP. To my knowledge there are only three mods - the Captain, bonusstreak and myself. The Captain is not vey active and usually concentrates on posts related to general entertainment.
If you know otherwise, please mail me proof. I moderate at CAP as long as I consider it to be run appropriately and transparently.

Hey Everyone,
To set the record straight I don't consider forums my friends nor do I fully support any forum's agenda. I post here at GPWA more than I ever do at CAP. I consider most of you here at GPWA as very good friends and have always appreciated your love and support shown to my family and I. I did most of my posting and communicating at my Facebook page till it was hacked by some ass hole. Still do not have that resolved. Do I support wrong doing by anyone? Hell No!
My thoughts as well. I've not been back to the site since all the corruption and can't force myself to for these very reasons.
When all this mess came down I took their seals off everything and said that was the end of me having anything to do with them...maybe it's easier for someone as small time as me to do this, but I can not, and will not knowingly be a part of any site that has or had condoned some of the things that happened at CAP.
To each their own, but it's not for me and would not be even if I were successful...and if it were to take being a participant in anything CAP puts one or does, then I'll just remain a broke ass affiliate and continue on with what I am doing.

Ok I probably will hate to ask this but Dom says Lou was bought out of affiliate media but retained the other companies. What are the other companies and what do they do?
I don't really know, but effective media is one that came up in forums a lot at the time.
I only concern myself with the affiliate community, I am not at all involved in the business end of things and never was, so I am not a good person to ask about those things.
I must admit that I have not posted at CAP since the nasty debacle began, but admittedly I am still a member there, purely because I still have affiliate friends there who still offer valuable information that I continue to read.
Some would call me a lurker but quite frankly I don't get involved in all the crap that goes down. I sift through the rogues and read the posts of affiliates I still admire.
I have always maintained that a few bad apples in a forum does not make the whole forum bad.

The issue isn't the members of the forum, it's the owners of the company behind the forum.
If you give them traffic or content then you are helping them to remain legitimate in this industry.
I personally would rather support organizations that don't operate like CAP does, and would always refer people who are new to our industry to sites like GPWA rather than anything that Affiliate Media, Effective Media or We Haven't Changed A Lick and are Still Slimeballs Media are involved with.![]()

Wild thread...
Well as i was the first AM to take any real action with regards to CAP i feel i want to post and comment, i do not belive that Warren or CAP are running any of the events i am pretty sure that CAP as a company are getting some slice of the event and in way they should the help create these events i guess its like rev share for the life time of the player.
I met one of the CAP team in Sweden a few weeks ago and he was telling me they are about to do some great stuff that could benefit the community so they might be wortha visit again....
I hve not posted on CAP since i removed the seals and issued the public statment that we had ended the deal with them.
I have to say hats off to Warren he has a pair of balls he attended Vegas and now London........

JT, lets just agree to disagree about Warren. Only time will tell who has to eat their words.
I spoke of Lou not because of anything you said but because of something Bonusguy said.
I have all the information I need to know who I trust and who I don't.
You do have a point there. I never thought of looking at it that way.....If you give them traffic or content then you are helping them to remain legitimate in this industry.

I have taken a very unusual action with respect to this thread and want to report it here.
First of all, I temporarily moved the thread so it was not accessible to anyone so I could edit it without new posts being added at the same time.
Second, I deleted some posts by Integrity that I did not feel were appropriate to be made here regarding other affiliate webmasters.
Third, I deleted a couple responses that quoted from the deleted posts.
Finally, I have moved the thread back to the original location so posting can continue.

LOOK I am trying to quit smoking dam lol! Seriously out of the two evils be it L or W, L would take the prize by a landslide. The W believes in reconciliation and recognizes huge mistakes were made and may learn something. The L is a prize fighter who would curb stomp anyone for a fist full of dollars and will never change IMO.
This is my truth thought worth sharing. My apologies if I offend any of L’s close friends.
Going out to buy some chewing tobacco I am going nuts!

It's a very sad day. I'm so sorry to hear that you will be leaving JTodd, but I'm sure you have to do what you feel is best for you.
I saw your post and I'm just waiting to get some more information because I'm not one to dance around the issue & be fake and act like everything is 'ok' because what you posted is some shocking stuff that needs to be investigated.
edit: well good thing I did not quote you because it's gone, but I hope it all works out.
SAY WHAT!!! who is leaving? JTodd! This would be absolutely horrible. After all he has done. OH BOY I FEEL SOME ANGER I better stop.
JTodd your a fighter and stood tall for all of us! DAM

We never got to the answer of the simple question that Paula originally posted here. Is Cap involved in LAC or not. That was what the OP was. Now we have come to infighting and name calling again, feelings hurt, flames made, people wanting to give up and leave what is what I consider to be a reputable forum for the industry.
I for one do not give C any traffic and have not since I asked Arjun to delete my membership and all traces of my ever being there. I really would like to have an honest and transparent answer to the OP question here. Is Cap involved in the LAC or not.
If they are indeed clawing their way back into the events, I truly feel that this will be the last IGB event I will attend. If I could cancel my flight and room I would if it is indeed true. I for one will not aid and abed them in regaining the evil empire they enjoyed last year. What was done to the affiliates, players and the industry in general should not be forgotten or forgiven.
Perhaps Alex can shed some light on the original question posed here. I did not want to get involved in a blood shedding thread but the truth needs to be told.
