Do you use avatars?

Many of us use avatars, and many of us don't.

Personally, I think they add a lot to the forums because they help create more visible identities for the participants, and add a little color to the forums besides.

And I'm curious if folks that do use avatars use the same one they use here in other forums. And if they keep the same avatar for a long time, or change them around. And be sure to share any interesting stories about your avatar with the rest of us.

And if you don't currently use an avatar, I'd like to encourage you to consider adding one. It's easy. Select the "My Control Panel" option from under the "My Account" top menu item when you are logged in. Then select the "Edit Avatar" option from the control panel page. You can then provide the URL of any image available on the web you would like to use as an avatar, or you can upload an image directly from your pc. It just takes a minute.

Yes mostly on busy forums. It helps a fair bit recognizing the poster. Currently I am having some technical difficulties with mine lol. Back to flash, fixer up.

Someone made mine years ago and I forgot about it. Then I saw it one day and decided to use it at Casinomeister. People seemed to really like it so I decided to stick with it and use it here too.

I love it myself. I call it Dancin' Mojo. She can dance to anything you put on, doesn't matter. Although her moves are much better than mine.

I try to use the same avatar across multiple forums so it gives users familiarity with me. I also try to use a photo of myself too so that people know i'm a real person.

Have used the same one here since the start (I think), Other forums have different ones, sometimes I use the same on several forums, depends on the weather I reckon.

I use the same avatar in most forums and it is my brand identity. I've noticed others have a 'branded' type of avatar as well.

I use the same one. Receeding hairline, pint of guiness and a ciggy. It's me. Well not the ciggies now, as I have kicked them.

I used to have one here which was a pic of myself, but I took it down several years ago.

Thanks for reminding me that I havent put one back up yet, because avatars are extremely important to me. Not to mention how much value they add to not only the forum. but to the site, and the entire neighborood. I dont know ho forums get along without them.
