i do it manually, but i dont think it takes forever. i guess its just part of the process. i don't seo every article though, just the ones that i figure are long term pages

I use the 'Web CEO' software, but not blindly. It does speed up and help a lot with 'manual' SEO by automating a lot of tasks (ranking tracking, keyword density measurement etc. etc.)

I have always done it manually. It does take time and is an ongoing thing, but I think it beats hiring a compnay because you learn new things as you go, you see what works and what doesn't to prepare yourself for future projects.
