I happen to be a Transparent Registrar for ItsYourDomain....and I can say these guys are truly honest.
I looked at their affiliate program when I first got involved, but decided to go with the transparent program because it was a better fit for my hosting site and clients.
The few times I had issues that needed to be dealt with from their end, they have always gone the extra mile to ensure that both Me AND My client were satisfied and protected.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!
VideoPokerJunkie.com ended up with them somehow - transferred out by the previous registrar. That's why I was there the other night. When I put the DNS changes in, it started propagating in less than 12 hours!!

The wild west one sounded interesting but I don't know if I wanted to pay the $99.
the other place was interesting too.
thanks for the info guys.
It's your domain seems expensive. It's 50% more than opensrs ( www.opensrs.org). That 50% can really add up. The fact that they process client credit cards might be worth the additional cost.
I was looking at wild west domains a couple of days ago. They by far have the best prices.

FYI: WildWestDomains is the reseller for GODaddy.com They have the best prices on the net for my money. So they would be the best, most reliable service, I'd think.![]()

I think you can charge as much as you want with WildWestDomains
You sell domains for $10-$15 and godaddy keeps their regular rate ($7.95 or whatever)
Quick question, anyone actually making money selling domain names?
I tried it several years ago and discovered it wasn't worth the hassle. I actually had an idiot come to my office because he forgot his username and password. Of course he also forgot the email address he used when signing up.
When I had to take time out of my day to talk to him it's when i discovered it's not worth the hassle for a $10 profit.
Another method of making money off domain names, is when I'd register a new name with hosting, and sell a website using ebay. These would be websites that took less than an hour to design. The website would sell for around 70 bucks. I'd then earn a little off the domain name, and some money from monthly hosting fees. I could have kept doing this but I decided focusing on affiliate programs was more lucrative.

And then he kept coming back over, and over, and over.... UG. What do you mean that Co-Location is $100 / month??!
LOL... I think if you were selling them online and made the whole site automated, it would be easier.. It just so happened that idiot was FROM there.
Thank-s for the laugh!

Talking about that idiot. He actually came over to my house to get the server (about a year after). He thought I had stolen it because he could see his website online, but he didn't have access to the server, so he couldn't use it for office work.
His brother then tried registering a domain name through me. I notified him that I wasn't in that business anymore and to visit netsol.com. He then contacted opensrs and complained.
Some people are so unbelievably stupid.
And I agree somewhat about the automation. The only problem is that there's more competition for domain names than casinos. Only difference is that the competition has caused profits with domain names to be a few bucks and with casinos its several hundred. Then again if you offer webhosting, especially at a local level, it can be a nice extra source of income.

I've used ItsYourDomain.com and they've went
the extra mile to help me out many times.
Affiliate programmes don't seem to sit well with domain registration services. It pushes the price up too much. Enom is the service that a lot of the pro domainers use as resellers.
At the moment I am paying $6.39 with OnLineNIC for great service and a reseller api, but you'd have to handle the cash collection if you went with them.
Thanks for the tip concerning OnLineNIC!
Since I mainly register domains for myself this should save a bundle.
