In a triumphalist move of corporate daring and vision, eCOGRA, that world-renowned, independent, transparent, uncorrupted and uncorruptable online gambling righter of wrongs and purveyor of all that is good has brought off another boardroom barnstormer.

Following the management buyout of eCOGRA earlier in the year, it has been decided to restructure and streamline the Board to reflect the Company's current ownership.
What, I hear you ask, with that celestial glow of the disciple / guru relationship lighting up your eyes, has happened?
As a result of the restructuring Non-Executive Directors Michael Hirst OBE, Bill Galston OBE and Frank Catania will be leaving the Board as of the 31st December 2011.
Beveridge is typically modest and unassuming. No hyperbole and extreme nhetoric for this human Microgaming answering service, as he announces that he's now lost possibly the only remaining vague vestige of independence (and that wasn't much to begin with), and is now wholly, entirely, lock, stock & barrel in the pocket of the industry. No, siree:
I am very grateful to Michael, Bill and Frank for their enormous contribution in helping to establish eCOGRA as a pre-eminent independent remote gambling standards body and testing agency and steering the Company to its new found status.
I look forward to the next chapter of our growth as we set out to use our exceptional and unrivalled experience in providing services to jurisdictions, whilst maintaining our unique eCOGRA seal assuring player protection on approved sites.
Typically understated and factual.
But, I hear you indignantly cry, is eCOGRA not wholly and exclusively funded by the gambling industry, be it directly via seal purchases or indirectly via "audit services"?
Did eCOGRA not whitewash Grand Prive when they stole our commissions?
Have they not, at one time or another, promoted they most prominent affiliate supporters' sites in the most laughably transparent act of shabby backdoor cronyism?
Will they promote your site if you agree to give them a tawdry backlink plug, an example of the industry at its most fetid?
In short: what, sir, are you sniffing?
Oh purlease. Spare me the negativity. There's spin to be spun here and I'll be damned if I'll be letting any facts get in the way. eCOGRA is restructuring its board. May we rejoice.
