    Frank bill at 50 co-sponsors

Barney Frank's attempts to overturn the UIGEA may have been pushed back to September, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been getting support for his bill.

According to CasinoGamblingWeb, who have done a great job of covering Frank's bill, Michigan representative John Conyers (D) has been added as a co-sponsor. That brings the total of co-sponsors to 49.

"Politicians are really being forced by the people they represent to get behind this legislation," said observer Lenny Gray, "online poker players want their freedom to play without government interference, and they are starting to contact their representatives with that request."

    That Good news.

I am curious to hear US affiliates opinion on a thought I had.

If the legislation was over turned tomorrow and the casinos and poker rooms etc started accepting US players again.

How quickly do you think you could return to your previous earning levels before UIGEA was introduced? Or do you think that you will never earn the same amount of commissions as you did before UIGEA?

Excuse my ignorance of the whole political system in the US, but why is it that the democrats are for this and the republicans apparently against. Don't republican ideals fit in more with the you should be able to do what ever you want attitude, or is it late and I need to go to bed?
