    Full Tilt/Pokerstars

    Hi guys,

You might have noticed that in the EGR Power 50 this week, we didn't include Full Tilt or Poker Stars. The reasons for this are that they still take US bets, which we believe will be bad for their chances of obtaining a US licence should the US legalise online gambling, and that the liquidity of US punters gives them an unfair advantage over rivals.

However, many people disagreed, and a major discussion has begun below the story on the rights and wrongs of our decision. I'm going to be writing a piece later today summarising the reactions of readers. Feel free to add your own comment below the piece if you have strong feelings!

But remember the golden rules: concise, polite and properly spelt!

With the money pokerstars is making, I'm sure it doesn't bother them they didn't make the list.

It's still the largest poker room and should get some consideration for that. Regardless of where the players are from. Regulation might be further away than we all think and pokerstars will continue to thrive in the current environment.

    Some truth

I don't entirely disagree. For us, however, the liquidity aspect was even more important than the legality: to compare the two sites with operators that don't have the huge liquidity advantage of US players just wouldn't be comparing like with like.
