Agreed with you, J. Todd, when you say it's the way the politicians blow and the way that the judiciary laws are handed down that ultimately affect our industry. A great video as always and it's good to see you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving!

I like how you have the watch on youtube link there because I always prefer to do that so I can maximize window and it saves time. Not sure why we can't do that here, though.

Hmm, well you always mention God at the end of your videos, J. Todd, and it seems it could be divine providence that I saw this one now since I don't watch them as much or as regularly as I used to.

The drinking is really far worse for you (and everyone) than I suspect you realize now. People think it's okay, or moderate drinking is even beneficial, yada yada, but that's really not true and apparently never was.

    Here's some of the latest:

It's Official: All Alcohol Is Bad For You According To New Study

A New Study Says Any Amount of Drinking Is Bad for You. Here's What Experts Say

The Truth about What Alcohol Does to Your Body

Additionally, alcohol causes myopathy, including cardiomyopathy. A neurologist I know even told me that many years ago, that all alcohol should be avoided because it causes that.

    But wait, there's more(!):

I suspect you are almost certainly on a statin since your cardio event a while back, unless by divine providence as well you have already seen the light about that despite the vast prevalence of brainwashing and global conquest by that particular fruit of big pharma darkness and hegemony (whew, long sentence there). Statins are among the most harmful wicked things that have swept the world. Not only do they also lead to cardiomyopathy, but they increase your risk of cancer. Combined with alcohol, a double multiplicative whammy. Right this moment someone I know is in nursing care after having drunk somewhat often over the years, though by no means heavily, being on statins for years, then one day discovering stage 4 cancer at the back of the tongue. Cut down from great vitality and independence to a sad pathetic and apparently permanent state now because of complications.

Well lions and tigers and bears, did the NIH, often felt to be the "gold standard" of science, really publish this in 2005? Oh no they didn't(!):

We conclude that statin-related side effects, including statin cardiomyopathy, are far more common than previously published and are reversible with the combination of statin discontinuation and supplemental CoQ(10).
("Treatment of statin adverse effects with supplemental Coenzyme Q10 and statin drug discontinuation" - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16873939)

And that's just one of the horrible side effects.

Yes, I hope you know about CoQ(10) if you have been on a statin since your hospital trip a while back.

And with God and divine providence still in mind - but what about how even the Bible does not condemn not drinking to excess or intoxication, and that even Christ Himself is reported to have supposedly or allegedly drunk some brew? I don't know all the answers, but there is a difference between a moral question vs. a practical one. And one thing is certain: in ancient times nutrition was different, DNA and genetics were probably far less subject to damage than occurs today, and the world was not tainted and polluted by contaminants and toxins that we experience today in vast and almost unimaginable amounts. They may have been more susceptible to disease from lack of modern knowledge about pathogens, but the food and drink then would have been far superior to what we have today in terms of real nutrition and purity aside from that. Things have been very different for food and drink since the Industrial Revolution.

Yes I know, people like to drink, yada yada. But it's well worth it to give it up, and I hope you will so that perhaps God willing we can have you around for many years longer.

Thank you very much for taking time to put that post together. I know it took effort to get that all into one post... and I appreciate that it was important enough for you to do that.

I have been drinking for over 30 years now, and my last physical found I was in good working order... just old and out of shape. In these videos I do some times exaggerate for comedic/entertainment purposes... so I had not actually drank anything at the time of the filming.

I understand that giving up the booze would be best for me, but at this point in my life I will accept the physical toll on my body in exchange for the other, less obvious effects that would be far worse for me. I am not morbid, but eventually something will get each one of us

The main problem with big companies that are publicly listed is that they are obliged to report fines to the stock exchange, which will affect the share price. So for such companies, the damage is not limited to the fine, it could just be the tip of the iceberg.
