Hi, i'm use set plugins:

1. Yoast SEO - for title, description and keywords.
2. SSO pro - for rich snippets.
3. WP rocket - for cache settings.
4. Autoptimize - for concatenating the CSS and JavaScript code, and compressing it.

I'm a little surprised that no one is talking about the Yoast bug that happened this year.

Yoast has caused serious problems to several websites since March 2018. If you have suffered significant ranking losses from March, this may be due to this Yoast bug.

what I am even more curious about knowing more of is wordpress plugins that helps with security. Because you here all this stories about websites that are being hacked and then scraped for content

Yep. Noticed it quite fast luckily, but I know other people that got slapped by Google because of this Yoast update. A year or something before it was hackfest after one of their updates had security errors.

Yoast is a great plugin, but I find them a bit too nonchalant with updates.

I was using Yoast for ages but i recently gone over to Squirrly SEO. Premium of-course. You can do so much more with it than the Yoast plugin. Keyword research, site audits, copywriting, live write assistant. Well there is much more. This is just the nutshell. If you are new to SEO plugins and not tried Yoast yet.

Be sure to check it out (Squirrly SEO plugin) Neil Patel is also using it. Im not saying than you should buy it because of that, but i give him alot of credit on SEO

And if you are a looking for something new and interesting i would also recommend! i thing its a blessing!

And how involved is Neil in online gambling as an affiliate/marketer? Simple answer, he's not!

I've been using WP for over 8 years now, and have tried just about every SEO plugin there is. In addition to that, been a casino affiliate for the best part of 18 years... Every WP SEO plugin out there has been founded on mainstream SEO requirements. Not online gaming, which, is a totally different ball-park.

For some of that time I also operated an SEO company which only specialized in gaming SEO - had a few high profile casino groups.

Here's the rub... There's no WP SEO sliver-bullet Plugin when it comes to our industry. While there are over 200 Google alog flags which are used to rank a site, the same ranking rules don't apply to OUR INDUSTRY as they do for mainstream sites.

Whatever SEO plugin you decided to use, make sure you know the basic of SEO, and how to properly implement each component of the SEO plugin your using. Otherwise you could find your shooting yourself in the foot.

AussieDave, You hit the nail on the head! there is no magic involved into these plugins. But that said, plugins are a great time saver in a lot of ways.

Yoast, All in SEO, w3 total cache
And you can check w3 total cache settings from gtmetrix

Yoast is the best plug and it's free.

I recommend adding Yoast AMP (also free), a huge boost for organic.

Also, in my opinion, WP-Rocket the best for caching and website speed, but it cost like 39$...

My favourite one is "All in One SEO Pack" from Michael Torbert which I also use on my site.

Features are pretty easy-to-use and the plugin is highly effective.
