Our plans are to increase the level of resources behind auditing efforts to be more than the APCW has recently been able to do on its own. It is likely that the APCW will remain the primary public face under which the auditing process and results will be published because that is consistent with the mission of the APCW. However, I expect there will also be very strong visibility for these efforts within the GPWA.
In terms of Gambling Wages, I think it will be extremely important for us to monitor the behavior there and to make sure that any issues that arise are properly addressed, or to publish the fact that they are not properly addressed should that be the case.
Many believe the history at Gambling Wages is one that should never be put in the past, and that is certainly a position that is the safe one. And one I can respect from a player protection perspective.
Certainly the APCW has helped to facilitate a number of actions and statements on the part of Gambling Wages that are steps in a positive direction, and while that is a positive sign, there is a lot of history to overcome, and that history is something that should not be whitewashed and cannot be forgotten overnight even if all the issues from the past really have been addressed and will not recur.
The positive thing we can do here is to be a force for transparency, and to be a conduit for creating visibility for any current good and bad behavior and in so doing create an environment where there is substantially increased accountability for improper treatment of players or affiliates.
