GPWA Times Email Newsletter 150th Issue

I'm very pleased to announce that today's issue of the GPWA Times e-mail newsletter is the 150th! The very first issue of the newsletter was sent out on the 9th of November 2006 and today it is sent out to well over 5,000 people like clockwork every week.

When we originally began publishing the GPWA Times newsletter our goal was to provide the affiliate marketing community with quality news reporting and to foster the growth of a strong, more connected, GPWA community. And when I look back at the GPWA then versus now I can say with pride, on behalf of all of us, "We've come a long way, baby!"

In terms of the GPWA Times newsletter, we've published well over a thousand news stories, we've published dozens of interviews with both affiliates and affiliate managers. We've highlighted what's gone on in the forums, made hundreds announcements regarding new developments at the GPWA, and included a question every week for you to share your thoughts with fellow GPWA members.

Back in November 2006 the GPWA had a total of less than 4,000 forum registrations and there was an average of less than 60 forum posts a day. Today total forum registrations have passed the 8,000 mark and last week we averaged over 150 forum posts a day.

A big thanks to everyone who is part of the GPWA for making this possible. Without our affiliate members the GPWA would have no purpose, and without the support of our sponsor affiliate programs we would not be able to serve our affiliate members.

The folks involved in producing the GPWA Times newletter each week deserve a special thanks. Vin Narayanan leads the charge in his role as managing editor. Senior editor Gary Trask does most of the heavy lifting, online producer Dan Igo gathers news stories, program manager Steven Corfman covers sponsor news and announcements, graphic designer George Choi is responsible for the pictures we include in the newsletter, and copy editor Bill Riley helps make sure we don't embarrass ourselves too badly or too often.

    Thanks everyone!
