I'm very pleased to report the fifteenth issue of the GPWA Times Magazine is now available at the ICE show at our stand 6007 and will be available at the London Affiliate Conference that begins in a couple days.
GPWA Times Magazine - Fifteenth Issue Cover
Our cover story in this issue takes an in-depth look at YOU. Participation in our first annual Membership Survey was excellent, and the results were interesting, informative and often surprising. We hope you enjoy reading about yourselves. And, as 'first annual' implies, we'll be doing this every year.
And speaking about you, our members, this issue features five new affiliate interviews and four affiliate manager interviews. The affiliate interviews feature cass from South Africa, jctroy440 from Kentucky and now living in Cancun, Jouerapoker from France and now living in Malta, RBS from somewhere in Europe and UltimatePokerBonus from Pennsylvania. The affiliate manager interviews feature George Aristodimou of EGO, James Woods of bet365, Justin Provaznik of Slotland Affiliates and Martil Basl of Jetbull.
Not to be missed in this issue are Jeremy Enke's take on the advantages for poker affiliates who promote through a network; Aaron Todd's absorbing interview with Affiliate Guard Dog's Andy Mueller; and Paul Reilly's superb discussion of an affiliate's SEO options.
Vin Naranynan, with camera in hand, explored the streets of Budapest and captured his impressions of the Budapest Affiliate Conference. You can see the results in this issue. And be sure to check out Departments for the latest news, numbers and quotes from the good guys in and around our industry. And be sure to check out the APCW Wall of Shame for the newest inductee to join a long list of hypocritical politicians.
And in this issue we also say a few words about my good friend Ted (Spearmaster) Loh, who passed away just a short time after we lost Allan (Captain) Leonard and Lou (Professor) Fabanio. I first got to know Ted when he and I and a few other webmaster pioneers would meet back in the early days eCOGRA to provide advise and input and to discuss what we thought they could do to make a difference. Ted was one of a small circle of folks I always tried to spend time with when we found ourselves at the same conference, which happened pretty often.
