    Great Conference!

Heading out of London shortly having experienced a very productive week, full of fresh ideas to start putting into practice first thing Monday morning.

Highlights for me were the Meister Meet. Always good to catch up with the likes of Bryan, Simmo!, Greedy Girl, Michael, various operators and several players in an informal environment.

The ICE was good and great to see teasers of new games such as Thunderstruck II which are due to be launched. Also met with Joeyl and Caruso in person for the first time.

The awards dinner was good although the gaps between announcing the winners proved that perhaps a comedian should have been on stage. No offence to Michael Casseli! Thanks to Club World for inviting me and giving me the chance to meet in person Chips and his wife and Casinobonusguy and her husband for the first time. Also good to finally meet Bonusstreak and catch up once again with Engineer.

The actual conference was extremely productive. Alex and his team prove they put on the best events. I got a lot out of it and feeling revitalised and raring to go again.

Nice to see the cap team showing a bit of humility by having a grand stand complete with Formula 1 Racing Car. Mind I expect the rogue Jackpots Heavens Group they listed the other week, helped pay for that .

Other highlights include meeting and chatting with Chalkie. A lovely guy with a lovely wife. Sorry if she got bored from all the shop talk

Other interesting highlights include being collared by The Virtual Casino Group including Amit. They have now heard first hand from me during a cordial 40min chat what I consider they have to do to come good. Unfortunately I can't see it happening...

JTodd as always great to chat with.

Finally big thanks to the affiliate managers. A great bunch of people to work with.

Already counting the days down to Amsterdam!

Mr and Mrs Chalkie have just arrived home, to snow flurries.

Have to say, a very productive and informative conference and a great social event to boot.

I met a lot of people i have never met in real life that i knew from the industry, i also met many people that i did not know at all. I have to say that everyone i met would be welcomed in to my home any time, a great bunch of people and i am honoured to know each and everyone.

Tina was very patient walking around alongside or following behind when she has not a clue about anything in the industry. She has the patience of a saint and sometimes i wonder if i deserve her and how she has put up with me over all these years. She has really enjoyed herself, even though she is teetotal and normally averse to bars, pubs and clubs. I had to really work on Tina to convince her to come along, for weeks she did not really want to come, now she is talking about the next one.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the people who humoured me and put up with my constant babble, to those that helped me, gave me advice and listened to me with open minds.

To those that fed us both, brought our drinks and invited us to numerous events and party's i also say a big thank you.
    Paul

Yes i also really liked the conference, it is nice that i can finally place some faces to there forum nicknames. The hunt for that golden link was for me the best with Fantommaster, Cemper, Marcus and Sebastian. Also the party's where good.

Loved the conference also. Great turn out and well sorted out by Alex, Marit, Kierra and the team.

I met a load more affiliates that I speak to but never seen face to face. I like the conferences as they tend to show that affiliate do wear clothes and not just sit in their underpants all day.

We had a great time, what with the awards where we shared some great times with two tables of CWC staff and affiliates and of course the award for Best Casino Affiliate Program. Following this "a few quiet drinks" at the bar till 6am.

Following the late/early night, the Friday turned out to be good. Met a whole bunch of people and put faces to the MSN and forum chats. The friday night we hit up the Rib Shack with about 26 people which turned out to be a blast, apart from the broken heating!!

Saturday day more meetings and some great feedback received and some promise of some good business going forth.

Thanks to all those that gave up their time to meet with me, meet the team and share your evenings with us, we loved every minute and look forward to the next one!

Chalkie, we were supposed to meet, but then I guess I disappeared on of my smoke breaks. Anyways, glad to hear that you made it to our stand and met with one of our team members.

Hope to catch up with you next time.

Got to say, that was the best conference for a long time... most notably because I finally got to put a couple of faces to forum names... Dave, Judy, Chalkie - great to meet you all in person (at last)!

Roll on Amsterdam... and maybe the CBG Weekender beyond that

Don't worry Judy - you'd be surprised how many Londoners know so little about the City. I had no idea that Monument (which is the name of a tube station, as well as that big tall column) is named after a monument dedicated to the Great Fire of London - thanks to Dean and his camera, I now do!

I'll let you settle back down to work before firing any emails your way. I'll be in touch towards the end of the week/start of next.

Arrived in Richmond about 20:45 and was greeted with my favorite (sarcastic).... had about a foot snow on the ground.

Had the most wonderful time not only taking two days to dig deep into the heritage of London, eat at the Chop House on the Thames overlooking Tower Bridge, spend tons of pounds on cabbies.... etc.

Was a wonderful time with the CWC group at the dinner(s) and meet the wonderful group of folks that make up a section of this industry. By far (even missing 2 sponsored parties) this conference was fantastic. Thanks so much to all the sponsors and the IGB team for pulling off yet another awesome event!

Donna is still jabbering about all the fun she had. Mixing business and pleasure was the perfect balance for me this time. Looking forward to the next event we attend. Not going to drop many names as I know I would not want to leave anyone out. There where just too many great folks to mention here.

Now to battle the jet lag and get caught up on all the work that piled up over the past week.

Once again, thanks to all the great people that we met and made us feel so warm and welcome. I could never imagine another industry that could pull this off.

Was a fantastic event and I am disappointed I never got to introduce myself to Judy and many others! I cannot believe the amount of meetings I got in and wish that maybe we had a 3rd day to see all the vendors since this was a quite large event.

Great job to all involved and thanks for making it easy for me to meet so many business partners in 1 place!

Is Amster still on because I have heard so many conflicting stories.

No piggie back rides this time!! Not good enough streaky, more booze next time!

Last I heard on the Dam was that we'd know more in a month, there must be some complications holding it up. Does anyone have Lesnick's contact details?

Even if it is not on, we should all aim to go for those dates. Amsterdam is a blast and we could still do some good business as well as having a great time.
