Have you ever shared a photo on Facebook?

This week Facebook announced that it had passed the 300 million user mark. And by that they mean users who have been active on Facebook within the last 30 days. And they also announced this week that they were now profitable.

The growth of Facebook has been exploding lately. It was just six weeks ago that they passed the 250 million user mark.

Photo sharing has now reached a level where 10 million photos are being uploaded every month.

Today, as part of the announcement of GPWA member poker-business as the ASOP winner in the thread I created a Facebook album to share with members here: Facebook Budapest Affiliate Conference ASOP Tournament Album. So, given the announcements of Facebook this week, and the fact that I've shared some photos on Facebook today I thought I'd ask whether other GPWA members also share photos on facebook. And, if you have an album you'd like to share with us, be sure to post a reply in this thread with a link to the album and any comments you'd like to share with the rest of us about your use of Facebook.

Wow, it took them 300 million users to become profitable? It's almost 5% of the entire global population!

Never shared my photo on Facebook nor anywhere else on the Web that I know of. In this day of age maintaining some level of privacy is important to me.

I share photos with my family and really close friends only.I use to have only one facebook account for business and personal but then i found myself very uncomfortable when an affiliate manager who I don't even work with became friends with my mom LOL.He asked my mom if she was a casino affiliate and my poor mom does not even know what that is.

    I have shared photos...

But honestly need to take a closer look at privacy settings. I've added "friends" whom I do not know (but have many common connections in the gaming area).

As my own derail... If I add you and all you do is spam me with your promotional garbage, you've probably been blocked/hidden/unfriended anyways.

I rarely use Facebook, other than for immediate family. I use Flickr for all of my business related photo uploads and I think it's great.

I do share photos on facebook, but I am not sure how secure these are. I guess some applications have full access to your profiles and tend to use the photographs and contacts to market.

Michael, is there a way to secure the account so that these applications can't access them, apart from not downloading the applications?
    Cheers!

I share all of the photos that I take at each conference that I attend.

I'm with you on the derail Matted. I will remove anyone that just spams me with thier stuff or only send 'invites' asking me to join every other group under the sun.

I give [limited access] to anyone that does not have over 100 mutual friends.

There are risks on placing photos on the web but it's a risk that I am willing to take. I think it is a good idea to share photos to establish connection with your network. It gives people a chance to know more about you and places you in a more 'real' perspective.

I'm with Jack... I have 2 accounts and I only share photos on my personal account (where I have over 100 albums and over 1500 photos).

I love photos... I guess I would share more photos on my business facebook if I was at more conferences.. so once that happens there will be more there.

The same with me. I only used facebook for business purposes. I just like Flickr too, apparently, its easy for somebody to grab yours as it one of the photo sharing application that appears most when searching at Google images.

It really depends for me. Some photos I choose to share and others I don’t. Recently, Facebook has had a rise in snoopers. You know, the people who go around to everyone’s page just to critic and gossip about their photos. I don't want to entertain people like that so I only share certain photos on my Facebook.

Yes I have heard of people appearing on billboards and in adult advertising in other countries after their pictures were taken from Facebook. In my case I doubt that will be a problem
