    Help needed with new website

    Hi There,

I am currently looking to do a complete re-design of my website so I can show a proffesional image for my new pub poker league business. I was considering an of the shelf website or contract out to a local web disigner, but am now looking to design it from scratch with Dreamweaver.

What would you all advise ?

Has anyone else used Dreamweaver for design of their site? if so was it easy to pick up ?

Thanks all in advance for your help.

I found Dreamweaver to be a bit buggy, but it is good for some things.

If you want to learn how to build a website in a short space of time, using Dreamweaver, in an affort to build a professional looking website, i'd guess you will not be happy with the result. It all takes time to sink in.

In that case, get a friend to build one for you, or a local web designer, would be my guess at advising you, based upon what I can surmise from your post.

I use dreamweaver and think its a great product, but it is a little difficult to get used to.

Maybe look at getting a template made, then using dreamweaver to make the changes. This should make things much easier and save you lots of time working out design features ?

I have used these guys several times with great results... http://www.gpwa.org/forum/great-hone...er-169213.html

Thanks for the advise so far, I will continue my search. Another software mentioned to me was subdreamer which I understand to be quite easy but I cannot see any examples of these sites.
